The hotel is clean, the bed comfortable and the staff lovely and helpful. The style just add a charm to it all ;o)
It is close to the Casa Rosada and San Telmo Market and just in front of the metro.

La Fresque has an unusual interior and style. Seems, the hotel building was formerly a factory or a store house and now is refurbished into a decent hotel. The room where I stayed was two-levelled, with antique style furniture and modern amenities such as bathroom fitments, flat screen tv, air conditioning and tea/coffee making facilities. Hearty buffet breakfast has been served in a spacious ground floor restaurant, which was also decorated with various antiques. Hotel location is excellent , right in the city centre, on the main avenue, in front of the entrance to subte (metro) station. Therefore it's very convenient for a tourist wishing visit city attractions.
you feel more like you are staying in an apartment rather than a hotel. I felt very comfortable The staff were very professional and willing to answer questions and help The subway is just outside the door and the grocery store is around the corner.The sites are walkable .Puerto Madero is a 15 -20 minute walk( dont walk at night take a taxi) A grocery store is a few blocks away/

My husband and I had many Media Lunas for breakfast, and alfajores too, which was really good in the beginning but you can get sick of it after a few days... This is the only thing I would change in La Fresque, a little bit more of variety during breakfast.... Great experience!
La Fresque is a beautiful hotel, with a great location right in the city centre of Buenos Aires. The subway is at the door, and all the main attractions are within walking distance. My room was spacious, airy, had a comfortable bed, and the decoration makes you travel in time to the old days of the city. Breakfast was great also!
However, there were a few problems. There was no safe in the room, and no minibar. The bathroom was a bit overfurnished, the bath tub was too small even for one, and there was no hairdryer. The biggest problem though was the noise: all night long you can hear the lift going up and down (it's a very old one) and you also hear everything your neighbours do and say. It's really difficult to sleep, and that's the only reason why I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
To sum up, La Fresque would be the perfect place to stay in Buenos Aires if it wasn't so noisy!!!
The hotle is located in a very touristy location, which is not the "nice" part of town though. We had a two-level jacuzzi suite. One can see the Obelisque from one balcony and the Parlament from another. Very modern boutique design.
Cleanliness can be improved. Do not use jacuzzi - we got skin infection after using it! Also, they did not have a crib for the baby and the room was definitely unsafe for the infant. We did request the crib during the booking process.
