Good breakfast. Lovely bar and lobby for lounging. Pool was closed. Room was a touch small but had a nice large bathroom. The roof terrace gives a nice view of Buenos Aires. It's a very central location which can be a little overyly touristy so we only stayed here for a couple of days and Palermo for the remainder

I stayed here for a week in November 2012, and I really grew to like this handsome property. It's not a large hotel, spread about 13 relatively small floors.

What I liked: great staff - especially at the level 1 bar (Pablo is worthy of singling out), very funky, comfortable and quiet rooms, lovely communal space where you can hang out with a book (and where you can always find a quiet and private spot, despite the hotel being fully booked), very clean and new.

Oh, great location! (The hotel is located very near St Martin Park - about a 1 minute walk - which is the point where lots of tours meet - for example, the afternoon BA free walking tour), and where the subway station is located. It's also within walking distance (about 20 minutes) to the Ricoleta Cemetary, another tourist attraction. Also probably a 10 minute walk to the waterfront and port.

What I didn't like that much: it's a hotel with lots of tour groups. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but it's just not what I expected for a "Design Hotel" group member. I was also very disappointed that the swimming pool was not yet open (scheduled to open the following week, in summer), despite the temperature in Buenos Aires reaching over 35 degrees for a few days during my stay. The pool would have been great!

All in all, a pretty stay. And great value for money!

Room Tip: I chose a superior room, which is larger than a standard room. All superior rooms are located on Level 11, which give a good view over the city, and with balconies.

This hotel is perfect if you are planning a shopping tour as it is only one block away of Av Florida with endless number of shops, especially Argentinean leather. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Ask for one on the upper floors as traffic noise is lower there. We got a free upgrade to a suite. Very good quality for the price.

I spent 2 nights in Hotel Pulitizer and found it to be exactly as the reviews and website describe: a modern, clean, bright place to stay within blocks of shopping, excellent restaurants, and tourist attractions. It's only a 15-minute walk to Plaza Mayo and 20 minutes to Recoleta. My room was a fine size (massive by European standards), breakfast was very good, service was friendly. My only disappointment was lack of English-language TV channels (e.g., CNN International, BBC, etc). I was here during the US presidential election, and it would have been nice to have been able to follow returns on TV. As it was, I was able to stream coverage via the excellent Wi-Fi in the room, so no real loss. If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive hotel that feels much more upscale, Pulitizer is worth considering.

The design if this hotel makes it worth the stay, but all else was sorely lacking.

My biggest letdown would be the location. Some things in walking distance, but this is not the neighborhood where you will spend your time. Seems even a little unsafe at night.

Unfortunately we found the staff to not be very welcoming at all. Our bartender disappeared completely one night.

The amenities were subpar - the Pool is closed except in summer (it was 80 in oct but they weree not opening until dec), and we had a constant Sewage smell in our room's bathroom.
