The first thing you need to know about the Poetry Building is that it's not as nice as the photos would have you believe. They have clearly used a professional photographer and a bunch of lighting to make it look that good. But, having said that, it's still pretty nice. We stayed there for 3 nights and on the first night they didn't have our 2nd floor place available so they gave us the "suite" on the top floor. We knew this before we arrived. Don't stay up there if you have a choice; it's small and it has the tiniest shower of any I've ever seen (30x30 inches) with a vinyl shower curtain that clings to your body the whole time. Yes, one of those!! And when you step out of the shower you have to do the cucaracha to step around the toilet and get out into the living room so you can dry off. BUT the 2nd floor apartment was much nicer and more spacious with a nice shower. The bed was comfy too. We were on a street facing apartment and, because of the nice weather, we slept with the windows open. We were awakened at sunrise each morning with the roar of the traffic below (esp trucks and motorbikes). Only other drawback is the price; it was a little higher than it was worth. Overall, I give this place 4 out of 5 and would go back if the price came down.

We loved the Poetry Building. Great location, charming welcome, friendly and helpful staff, an unexpected roof top plunge pool and, above all, a comfortable and spacious apartment! For a reasonable price too.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Poetry Building for 6 nights. When we booked, there were not 6 consecutive nights available but we could stay if we moved around different apts. Initially my husband was not in favor of this but we decided to go ahead. It was wonderful.
The staff are so professional, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly, and the building and location, excellent. We stayed in 4 different apts. and did favor 2 out of the 4 but all are unique and wonderful and have either a small balcony or terrace. The beds were good - the only thing we would have preferred was the option of having feather pillows as we found the pillows not soft enough for our liking and a blanket option in the cupboard if you didn’t want the duvet. Moving around wasn't a problem especially as we only had one suitcase each but we were pleased on last 2 nights to be in same one. All are tastefully designed and well-equipped. Close to supermarket, cafes, nice area. We highly recommend the Poetry Building – it made our stay memorable! Getting so popular - hope the prices don't go up!

You cannot go wrong with a stay at the Poetry Building in the Recoleta area. The apartment that we rented was roomy, clean, had all amenities needed, and the staff that was there during the day are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They gave us recommendations on things to do, restaurants to visit, and neighborhoods to see during our stay. It was living like a local but with training wheels. Everyone was so nice and it really enhanced our visit to Buenos Aires. There is no fitness center but there is a small wading pool on the upper floor.

Room Tip: My husband and I stayed in the main level room (PBC), which was next door to the office. In our opin...

We stayed at the Poetry Building for 4 nights during our trip to Argentina and I can absolutely say it was one of the highlights of the trip! The building is in a fantastic, safe part of Buenos Aires (Recoleta) within walking distance to great restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, Recoleta Cemetery and a number of museums. The apartments are large, beautiful and very comfortable with gorgeous decor. The staff could not be nicer and truly made us feel at home during our stay, helping us arrange a number of activities. We will definitely plan on staying there during our next trip to Argentina and would highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Buenos Aires.

The Poetry building in BA was an absolutely excellent experience for me and my travel companions. It's a beautiful building, with very cozy and chic decor that makes you feel completely relaxed and at home. The neighborhood is great, full of things and people but we never felt unsafe or bothered by the sounds of the city. The staff made us feel right at home, and made great efforts to make our stay there enjoyable with several recommendations for things to do, sights to see and places to eat. I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling through Buenos Aires--family, couples or otherwise.

Room Tip: The apartments located on the Junin street side are great for people watching, and the sounds of the...
