My Client booked the room, so I did not choose your hotel. However I couldn't conceive of a better choice. Your hotel is beautiful and clean, and your staff is very courteous. I will always stay at Fierro Hotel when i am in Buenos Aires. Thank you for a great experience.

Warm welcome, helpful front desk crew. Lovely large room, appreciatead the attention to detail (throw blanket on sofa was well appreciated in the cold winter evenings!). Location was nice, easy to walk around Palermo, lots of great restaurants and fun bars nearby. Easy enough to take taxi or subway downtown. Fantastic restaurant too - deserves its own review :)

We chose this hotel because of the location in Palermo, and it was the perfect choice. The location was ideal – it’s a great neighborhood, we felt perfectly safe at all times, there are a lot of bars and restaurants within walking distance. It may not be located in the liveliest part of Palermo – that would be Palermo Soho – but its close enough to walk there. When you check-in at the hotel they give you a map of the area that shows you the restaurants that they recommend – we tried a number of them and none of the disappointed. Make sure you try Las Cabras that’s a five minute walk from the hotel – the food and atmosphere are amazing, totally worth the long wait.

We stayed in the Terrace Suite and it’s a great room – very spacious and I liked the modern décor. The room has a huge wrap-around terrace – and I mean huge! – that has enough room for a Jacuzzi, sun loungers, a table and chairs and even an Argentinean grill! The only thing that I didn’t really like about the room is that the bathroom is really small – especially compared to the size of the room. Oh, and another thing worth mentioning is the mini-bar. This isn’t your usual boring hotel mini-bar, a lot of thought was put into it. There’s a great selection of wine (there was a sign that said that the wines had been selected by the President of the Argentinean Sommelier Association – or someone along those lines), a lot of snacks, both sweet and savory. You could happily live in this room without going outside.

The hotel is home to the Hernan Gipponi restaurant, which is considered to be one of the best restaurants in Buenos Aires. We didn’t go to the restaurant, but you can order room-service from their menu. I don’t remember what we ordered, but I remember that it was pretty good food. Not mind-blowing, but good. Breakfast is also served at Hernan Gipponi. A lot of reviews mention that breakfast is really good, but I wasn’t impressed. But I guess that’s a matter of personal taste. There’s nothing wrong with it, it’s just that it’s a set menu, you only choose how you want your eggs. So if, like me, you don’t eat some of the tings that are included, like yoghurt or muesli or something, than you’ll only be able to eat part of the breakfast, and it will probably be not enough food. So we only went to breakfast once and then decided not to bother. But, like a said totally a matter of personal taste. And, to be fair, the presentation of the food is wonderful and the service is really good.

The staff at the Fierro are really friendly and helpful. They’ll tell you where to exchange money at the blue rate, where to buy wine, where to eat, what to see and how to get there. Not to mention the basic thing like arranging taxis and so on.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the Fierro and would definitely stay there again.

We chose this restaurant based on its Traveler's Choice status but we were disappointed and would not recommend it. The rooms are spacious and adequate but nothing special; public space is extremely limited and the 'lovely courtyard garden' was overgrown and full of weeds and tomato plants. We came down for breakfast and I wanted to take a picture of the restaurant and was very rudely told "no photos." I explained that we were guests at the hotel and he (someone senior at the restaurant) apologized but it wasn't a great welcome. One of the other reasons we chose to stay here was the food but it really wasn't anything special. Its also expensive for what it is. It was 37 degrees when we landed in BsAs and we'd hoped to have a refreshing swim but the pool was still being heated and felt like diving into pea soup.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your comment to TripAdvisor. We are sorry you didn't like the hotel and found us "just ok".

We would like to point a few things about your comments:

- The garden is never overgrown, as is evidenced by posts of visitors and press year round in articles, blogs, and social media. We have specialized gardeners twice a week tending to it.
- EVERYBODY takes photos in the restaurant all the time, as foodie blogs and social media can attest to. We can not imagine a circumstance - unless you were bothering other passengers - in which anybody of the staff would ask you (much less, rudely) to not take photos.
- The pool is not heated in summer. We very much doubt that you could dive into the pool - it is too small and shallow, like a jacuzzi.

We will continue to work on having satisfied customers and hope to find you leaving the hotel happy on your next stay.

All the best,

Martin Rosberg
Director

We only had two nights in Buenos Aires and this was a great choice. The staff is wonderful! They were helpful us get taxis, take tango lessons, make dinner reservations, find ATM's, etc. The rooms were very nice and the roof top pool is fabulous! The breakfast was quite incredible. felt like I should have taken a picture.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Fierro. The staff was very friendly & helpful, with great suggestions for places to go. The room was very nice (comfortable beds & a fantastic shower). And the restaurant (with complimentary breakfast) was delicious. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: The Superior City View Suite had a nice view of the city & backyard.
