“A Perfect Boutique Hotel Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013

I stayed at the Fierro for 8 nights during the height of summer, January 2013. My friend and I shared a superior suite and opted for 2 twin beds. My experience was absolutely flawless from start to finish. Many thanks to everyone on staff but especially Melissa and Julian. The room was beautiful with a little balcony overlooking a very pretty courtyard. I loved the RAIN SHOWER in the bathroom. I have no complaints about the room: there was plenty of closet space, the couch was very comfortable, the safe and TV worked beautifully and it was very quiet at night. Housekeeping did a lovely job cleaning the room daily. I was very grateful for the complimentary bottle of water (large enough for two) that they replenished daily. The rooftop pool was wonderful and never crowded. We paid for the breakfast and I can't recommend it enough. A great way to start the day. This is a beautiful hotel with helpful staff. The location is safe and quiet. The neighborhood of Palermo is wonderful to explore.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the terrace/garden and it was beautiful.

We stayed only one day at the Fierro Hotel, and really enjoyed it. The room was large, modern and clean, with a small balcony. Not much to see from the balcony though, as the hotel is in the middle of a residential street. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, giving us directions, recommending local restaurants, and organising a taxi to the airport. The breakfast, included in the rate, was excellent, with a mix of eggs, pastries, bread, juices and tea or coffee. Plenty to prepare you for the day. We didn't try it, but the restaurant in the hotel looked really good, too.

The location is fine, but you should be aware that it's some distance from the centre of the city, and some of the well-known tourists spots like the Cathedral and the Recoleta Cemetery. The compensation is a lot of nice bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. You can get into the city centre via the underground, and there's a station a few hundred metres from the hotel; it takes around fifteen or twenty minutes, and it's very hot, but it's adequate.

Other than it being a little expensive, and given that I don't have any other experience in BA with which to compare it, it is definitely recommended. Just be sure to check the map and be prepared for some travel if you want to follow the tourist trail.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms on the first floor have a small balcony, but the views are limited. Higher floors...

i stayed there for 3 nights and just loved it. it is about 40 minutes from the airport but located in a great part of the city. if you are there on a sunday take a cab to the sunday antique market, about 20 minutes away.

the hotel was an upscale boutique feeling experience. the food was amazing as well as the staff, both front desk and restaurant employees. it really was a good choice to stay there, sometimes you get lucky and pick a winner.

only 1 negative........the pool is wicked hot, almost hot tub temp, they should look into that. again, only 1 negative.

Room Tip: i think all rooms are fine, mine was on the street facing side, was no worries.

Stayed here for 3 nights in Dec 2012 and have nothing but good things to say about the hotel. The room was stunning, we had our own little bar and it was spacious and clean. The breakfast was amazing and not to be missed! The staff were very helpful esp the receptionist who went out of her way to get us a restaurant reservation on the first night when we did not arrive at the hotel till 11pm.

We also got a small cake each on Xmas eve - lovely touch! This was by far the best hotel we stayed at on this trip! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The palmero area is nice but definitely quiet! You have to walk about 5-6 blocks for some action and even then it's only lively around 9pm. Other than that the main area was near the center. The rooms were great, breakfast was awesome!!!! We booked via jet setter. Our only complaint would be the area. We had to basically cab a lot. The area is very very residential. Ok for an older couple but we are in our late twenties and liked to walk a lot but at night the area was dark and too quiet.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable, attractive and spotless. The service and staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful 5 night stay. The hotel is in an up-an-coming area and we were more comfortable taking taxis than walking around. As the area improves around it, this will be a perfect spot.

Quiet room with a great shower and crisp sheets. It is within walking distance of several good restaurants and the subway making it easy to get to Casa Rosada, Plaza St. Marten, etc. Don't miss the breakfast, it was most excellent. The front desk was particularly helpful when my flight departing from BA was delayed. They permitted a late checkout that made our day much more enjoyable.
