“The neighborhood pizza joint you'll want to call your own”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

Cala has been around for a decade ... a lifetime in the life span of a pizza joint ... huge selection of toppings ... as a tourist, i'm sometimes overwhelmed by the amount of cheese on pizza here, but this place gets it right ... friendly service ... the kitchen goofed and made a large pie instead of the personal size I had ordered ... no problem, they charged for the personal and boxed the rest for me to take on my way.

“Great casual dining”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

During our stay we went several times to Cala Pizza. It was near our hotel. We had wonderful empanadas (specially the "carne a cuchillo" empanada) and pizza (specially the prosciutto or pancetta and ricotta pizza). The pizza crust was so crunchy! Wonderful cold local draft beer. The prices were also very reasonable. A must for the Recoleta neighborhood!

“Good value thin-crust pizzas & excellent service”
Reviewed April 5, 2012

Very reasonably priced pizzas, a big selection and tasty, baked on a good thin-crust base. Wines by the glass are not the greatest - the white is better than the red, but perhaps bottles are the way to go. The service is extremely friendly and efficient and at least one of the staff speaks good English. There are several tables outside which makes it nice to watch the world go by. Best of all, you don't have to wait until the usual BsAs late evening dinner hours if you're starving!

“Nice location and nice food”
Reviewed February 12, 2012

Stopped here each day for either a drink or a lite bite after a full day touring. Nice location in Recoleta. We could walk here from our apt. Nice to sit outside. Met some wonderful expats and locals. Good casual food.

We ate here twice in Nov and Dec 2011. Ate outside on the sidewalk, very good food and good service. We had pizza one night and local fare another evening.
