We did the 5 hour tour in Buenos Aires and Chris was our guide. Excellent all-around. Thanks to Chris, we saw the sights that aligned to our interests based on Chris tailoring the tour. Chris is an amazing guide, very knowledgeable about BA plus a pleasure to spend time with. He helped connect us with shopping and restaurant recommendations as well.

Plus, he messaged me days later after the Coronavirus restrictions in Argentina went into effect - just to check up on us. How nice is that!

In summary: BuenosTours is a must do activity for a visit to BA and you must book Chris as your guide.

We did a 3 hour private tour of BsAs with Chris and Jorge as our driver. Alan and the company were so communicative ahead of time and the day of. We had to make a very last minute change of pick up location and they immediately got in touch with us and fixed it to make for an on-time departure. We did a tour of La Boca and Recoleta. La Boca is pretty touristy and there isn't a ton to say about the neighborhood. The company did originally advise we tour San Telmo instead, which we should have listened to their advice :) Recoleta was fascinating.

Jorge ended up staying and waiting for us during the La Boca tour so he could drive us to the next destination so we didn't have to take ubers. Very much appreciated.

Chris was very knowledgable of the city and Argentina. Very nice guy but didn't show a ton of enthusiasm. We had to ask most questions to keep the conversation going.

This Company got highly rated reviews and I contacted Alan to see if we could get booked. Unfortunately the day we wanted was full up but asked that we be put on a waiting list and lucky us, this worked out with a cancellation. Oliver was our tour guide and we had a great day. He is extremely personable and flexible; we had a number of small requests that ranged from finding Cuban cigars to stopping at a pharmacy. All this done along the way in walking several barrios, riding the subway and learning lots of facts and history of Buenos Aires and Argentina. Oliver, being an American expat, made us comfortable and it was like spending the day with a friend. The way this day went was exactly our preferred way to see a new travel destination and get the benefit of having someone along that could translate when needed, knows the interesting buildings and places that we otherwise would not have seen and taught us about this wonderful city and country’s rich history. We can not rate/recommend Bueno Tours any higher. Alan, thank you for saying you would put us on a wait list and following through and for having a guide as agreeable and knowledgeable as Oliver! We were very happy with our walking tour and please give Oliver an “Atta boy” for representing/doing your business proud!
