Never a pedantic dry listing of facts, this was a studied and care~full unravelling of the history and also the (simple and complex) cultural elements of Buenos Aires / Argentina. Lots of fun too.

My wife and I had been to Buenos Aires before and had done bus tours and a private tour by car. This time we thought seeing a city through a window was like watching a video, so we choose to do a walking tour instead. We found Buenos Aires Walking tours on Trip Advisor and made our plans.
Our guide Ceri (pronounced Carey) met us at our hotel and we took a taxi to La Boca, the home of the tango. It was Sunday and there was soccer match at the stadium and there were craft fairs in the streets. The air was electric with the sights, sounds, and aromas from the restaurants that had set up tables in the streets in front of their dining rooms. He escorted us around and filled us in with the history of the area and encouraged us to become part of the party.
We took a bus to another area where the streets were full of street performers and live music and there were art shows and antique shops and restaurants. We felt that for the first time we were part of the fun of Buenos Aires and not just observers from an air conditioned bus.
Ceri was an excellent guide who is well worth spending time with. He was born in Canada and raised in England (so the there is not language problem) and now becoming a citizen of Argentina. He and his wife are in the Theater and their story is a great one. We shared a lot in common.
After the tour we took a taxi back to the hotel.
We had the best tour ever in Buenos Aires and felt like we had made a friend too.
My only regret was that we had not booked more tours!

A good guide who is funny, informative and not particularly time-sensitive can make the difference between enjoyable and dreary on a three hour walking tour. Also, how often is a Shakespearean actor your guide? There was drama, laughter, fun and information on our two half-day tours with Ceri. We would highly recommend this company!

Our group of 4 had one day to spend sightseeing in Buenos Aires before leaving on a cruise. We took a chance on BuenoTours because of the reviews on Tripadvisor and booked a full day walking tour with them. I emailed for reservations and they got right back to me. Their communication was excellent, both for our tour and any other questions we had. We spent a fantastic day with the lovely Isabel. We saw wonderful things, learned a lot and had lots of fun. I can't think of a better way to be introduced to Buenos Aires. If and when I am back, I will call BeunosTours! Without hesitation, I recommend this tour to anyone that can walk at a fairly leisurely pace for a couple of hours.

Thank Connie G

We were on a cruise that had an overnight stay in Buenos Aires at end of journey. We wanted to see a bit more of the city, rather than just through a bus window, so had found Buenos Tours through trip advisor, and read all the great reviews.
Booked the full day walking tour and had prompt response from Company , with name of guide and photo. Later we were advised that original guide had to return to USA at time of our tour, so we were then given replacement guide. We met Chance at Sheraton Hotel, which was close to the port, and started our day. We had said we were interested in looking at things away from main tourist areas, and Chance showed us some great neighbourhoods, with really beautiful old buildings. We went into one of oldest cafes, and original shopping arcade and the food market. Chance had an amazing knowledge of the city and the buildings. We had lunch at very popular restaurant(Café Tortoni), had to queue outside, and then waiters were bustling around . Also Chance took us into a very beautiful bookshop that had once been a theatre and all the original structures were still there. Had basically just removed the seats, all the private boxes remained, and the stage was now a café , but all the lighting switches and stage props remained. Was great to see that all that hadn't been lost, when the use of the building changed. We then we out to Recoleta cemetery, and saw all the enormous tombs and Chance explained all the different methods of storing the dead. Then it was time for a gelato and a sit down inside the gelato shop, which was great after all the walking, and it had been a hot day. Chance had however tried to find shady areas to stop when we were looking at the sights.
We felt very safe walking around the city, and really had an amazing day.Would totally recommend this company and our guide Chance, thank you so much
