From our first interaction with the owner, BuenosTours far exceeded our expectations. The scheduling was incredibly easy, the company was very responsive and - when asking for a quick restaurant recommendation - I received a page long email with restaurant details, locations and personal insights.

Our tour with Oliver was incredibly informative and you could tell that he has put a lot of thought into the order of information he shares, the path you walk, and the overall stories he tells. We greatly appreciated this level of preparedness and passion for the subjects.

Overall, our only regret was that we did a half-day. There is just so much to see and the experience visiting sites is much better when you have a knowledgable guide giving each location incredible passion and significance. At a minimum, do a full day tour...with Oliver if you can!

“Simply the best way to see BA with knowledgeable guides...”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

These guides really know this city! If you are a first timer as we were and only had one day, then the BA 101 tour is the way to see the main attractions and neighbourhoods. Our lovely guide Jessica took our group of seven all over the city and consistently kept us enthralled with her knowledge of the main streets & avenues, the history plus a few unexpected quirky areas.

We joined this group via a roll call on a South American cruise and as per the norm we had one-day in port. The cost split between everyone was excellent value compared to one or two people. However you would move a lot quicker or have more break time if doing this walk as a couple - just costs more. Having said that, it was great to share this scenic milieu with like-minded people.

We shared the cost of a taxi from the cruise terminal to our meeting point close to San Telmo and again on the way back to the ship. Fares are a little higher coming from the port (of course) but it was a quick way from this industrial shipyard. Our guide was prompt and the meeting location got us into the San Telmo neighbourhood where she regaled us with its history.

After seeing Casa Rosada and Plaza we walked to Ave. De Mayo where we had a delightful late morning break at the Café Tortoni. Ignore the pretentious waiter and enjoy the ambience, the coffee and delicious cakes! Frome here Jessica took us to Plaza San Martin on the Subte (underground), which is just a couple of stops. Located in the Retiro neighbourhood this leafy and up market area is simply beautiful. Everywhere in downtown BA there is superb architecture on a par with or even more stunning then Paris.

We had a late lunch of tasty empanadas, wine & beer at a local restaurant (or anything else you wanted on the menu). Food and drinks are extra but worth getting into the Argentine culture. Our last stop was La Recoleta cemetery where of course we saw Eva Peron’s vault (Family Duarte). In the time we had there we also saw famous and fantastically designed tombs - on the other hand some crumbling vaults had exposed coffins which was a bit sad.

Do yourselves a favour, if you are able to manage a walking tour try any of the tours on their website. They simply couldn’t have given us a better day out in Buenos Aires for the money - more importantly though, they gave us their expertise!

We enjoyed every moment and you will too!

“The Time Flew By”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

I booked the full day tour before we arrived in BA for an eight day stay. Buenos Tours was always quick to respond with a detailed email when I booked our tour and paid online. I purposely didn't fill out any info about our family of three ahead of the tour and we had an excellent informed tour. We were paired with Jessica, who arrived promptly at our hotel, and before we knew it the time flew by and we had walked from San Telmo to Eva Peron's grave in Recoleta. The tour was a great over view of the city and Jessica met our expectations and more when it came to explaining the historical and political background and cultural habits of Argentinians. I highly recommend using Buenos Tours and asking for Jessica.

“Great private tours of buenos aires!”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

We had two fantastic full day tours in early August. One with Oliver, one with Jessie. Both great, both different.
We walked quite a bit (which was good!); the only way to see a city.
We were with our three kids, 20, 18 and 16. We obviously each liked best different parts of the town but everybody left very happy! Both our guides were a big help and talked about different parts of the Argentinian culture. It was our first stop in a 3 weeks 1/2 trip to Argentina, and lots of what we discussed with them was also useful after!
