My friend and I enjoyed our stay at Ayred Portenos Tang Suites. It was our first time to Argentina, all the way from Singapore and although we did not speak any Espanol, we felt very welcomed. The staff, Julianna and her colleagues were all very friendly and helpful. I liked the location as well, it was very convenient and close to a vibrant stretch of very lovely restaurants. Also walkable from the subte station. I appreciate the good spread of breakfast ever morning too.

We had a twin room which was nice and clean, although rather difficult to accommodate two suitcases but we managed. The mural on the wall was lovely! As we had a room facing the street it was a bit noisy at times during the might with the traffic noise outside but the windows did a pretty good job of helping to shut the noise out.

Only thing was that the flooring at the top of the staithe can be rather slippery, and that the shower in the room seems beyond our control, most times it was nice and warm, but sometimes very cold. But on the whole, it was great and I am lookingforward to staying there again when we visit buenos aires in the future

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. stayed here over xmas and again on our way back from Patagonia. the reception staff are great and full of knowlege and advice. (especially the 2 girls). the hotel is spotless and the showers have great pressure. breakfast was by far the best in the whole of argentina. great selection of cerels/fruit and pasteries.

loved the decor and the location is great, a 5 to 10 minute walk to the casada rosada.
no problem storing luggage when we went to patagonia.

great value hotel, would reccomend it and stay here again...

The staff were very helpful, providing some great advice about places to visit in San Telmo and greater Buenos Aires. The rooms were clean and cool (a godsend on a 40ºC day). They happily accommodated our comings and goings on our last day, as we had a very late flight but an early check-out. The buffet breakfast was good but not amazing.

My wife and I were married in her home town of Buenos Aires and blindly decided upon Ayres Portenos Tango Suites to accommodate 19 guests from abroad. From the very second we contacted their establishment with our incredibly ambitious laundry list of conditions and demands, to the final check out of the last overseas guest, the staff and the facility were an absolute blessing. From accommodating off-hours check-ins, holding reservations and honoring room requests, their staff was eternally polite and sincerely helpful. The building is absolutely adorable and infinitely charming, boasting the vernacular type fonts and painting styles specific to the City of Buenos Aires; culturally prideful, artistic, and extremely fun. The breakfast, included with the room each morning in a delightful roof-top veranda style cafeteria, was a fantastic way to start each morning. Super clean rooms, comfortable beds, quiet building, and a location in Central San Telmo that couldn't be beat.
If you've ever been married, or involved in the planning of a wedding, (not to mention an overseas affair) you can imagine that the leap of faith required to entrust a single hotel to accommodate the entire population of guests for our wedding was slightly horrifying! Ayres Portenos responded with an extraordinarily high level of service and a sincere helpful attitude that single-handedly MADE the whole experience unforgettable.
I will never forget this place - as someone who has traveled to 20 countries and stayed in countless hotels and inns; this place is extremely special. . . . this place is as good as it gets.

We arrived early in the morning, but they accommodated us straight away. Helpful staff allowed us to use the phone to sort out a problem we had back in Mendoza, at no charge. Rooms clean and interesting with murals on the wall. Good ac in rooms - much needed as reception area boiling, like the rest of BA - a humid 34C when we were there! Great location in San Telmo. Lovely breakfast with lots of fruit, cereals, juices, patisseries etc. Hotel small scale and this added to its charm. If you pay in cash, 10% discount, which was a bonus. Recommended place to stay, esp. couples, in BA.
