It's a safe bet but not really good restaurant. Would I go there again? Probably not. A little pricey for what you got, I think. Not great food either...

The food is great, with options that go beyond the parrillada (barbecue). They have vegetarian dishes and other typical Argentinian food. Most of our dishes could serve two persons perfectly. The wine menu is not extensive but is satisfactory for a family dinner. Decoration is colourful and cozy, and staff is nice.

Viejo Teodor looked nice from the street, and had happy local families eating insde. Our starters and wine came soon enough, and were very nice too, but that was the extent of the good news.

The surprised diners had the unexpected bonus of a floorshow of a British family complaining loudly in English and Spanish (and a bit of Itailian!) about the 90 minute wait for our main courses, and an encore when one was totally vile; the others were pretty poor, too.

Not a word of apology; the waiter blamed the kitchen, and the boss couldn't have cared less. They offered to cook us a replacement dish - with another 30 minute wait! So we sent back the really bad dish and refused to pay for it; we skipped dessert left a half peso tip to make the point.
