“Must Do!”

This was the best experience. We were just looking to fill one more day and get out of the city before heading home. It was FABULOUS! The feast is amazing. You get to watch a real live Polo game and then play your own game. I would totally do this over and over again! Worth it.

“You have to experience polo!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 23, 2012

We had a half day at this polo ranch on the outskirts of the city. As soon as we arrived we were given freshly cooked empanadas from the asado and wine/beer/coke. Our hostess Mile could not have been more welcoming. She took the time to explain the rules of the game to us and encouraged us to feel at home on the ranch. We watched a practice game and although we didn't get a chance to play an actual game(because we didn't have time) we all had the chance to ride if we wanted to and had fun trying to hit with the polo mallets.
I thought this might be a bit of a gimmicky thing to do but we all absolutely loved it and it was also a chance to see the outskirts of the city. So glad that we experienced this and thank you Ruben & Mile for making us feel so welcome.

“A must-do in Argentina!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2012

I recently traveled to Argentina and was bummed out that I had missed both soccer season and polo season....My mother was flying down to spend a few weeks with me and visit wineries in Salta and Mendoza (must-do's also) but we were going to be in BA for a week before that without anything planned. We are both horse lovers and from Montana so I really wanted to either watch polo or just see the stables. After frantically e-mailing Ruben about my quest, I received a response saying that his company offers the opportunity to both PLAY and WATCH polo everyday of the year! I had my doubts and thought it might be a tourist trap.....But when we payed less than $200 for transportation from BA to Pilar (about 45 minutes), a beautiful lunch of empanadas, asado, endless malbec, and vegetables, plus 2 hours of riding and actually playing polo, and watching a real game, it was worth every penny. My mom loved it and we had a blast. Thank you Ruben, Mile, and everyone else involved in creating such a wonderful Argentine experience!

“Great day out at the polo!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2012

This was such a great day out, we were made to feel at home and greeted with wine and empanadas from the asado - what a treat!

Then we were able to watch a polo game, and even had a go with the mallets (we did a half day, so we didn´t get to play, unfortunately).

The only thing was that the driver who came to collect us from our apartment in Buenos Aires didn´t know where he was going...so we arrived late! Make sure you have the address with you before you leave.

I would highly recommend Argentina Polo Day.

We are very happy you enjoyed your time with us!
I would like to personally apologise for the inconvenience during your way to our estancia. Generally we do not have any problem with our drivers, they all know how to get to our facilities and we train them for that. We will make sure it does not happen again.
Thanks so much for your contribution. See you back at any time!

“Simply Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2012

We booked this on the back of other reviews and to be honest it was booked as a treat for my wife.

We have been travelling for 6 months and this has to be one of the best things we have done. It takes a while to get there if you are the first collection like we were, but when you are greeted with hot empanadas and lovely red wine by the very happy host Mile, you soon forget the drive.

It was so much fun and was great to learn more about Polo, which is a great game and certainly lots of fun when playing.

To sum up, everything about this day was great - watching polo, playing polo, eating amazing food, drinking lovely wine and being hosted by such lovely and fun people.
