Location, which is my most important criteria after the obvious basic cleanliness, was key. We'd stayed in Recoleta on our last vacation, which was fine as a first-timer looking to see the sights...but going back, to get a better sense of the culture and 20- and 30-somethings and a great vibe of the city, Palermo Soho was the place to stay, and Duque Hotel definitely fit the bill. It was quaint, clean, modern, safe, and the staff was impeccable - they were very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly; they assisted us every step along the booking process from beginning to end, and were quick in their email responses, which was a huge plus.

One (small) downside was that the breakfast was eh; but it was enough to provide us for what we needed to get the day started, so really no biggie in the grand scheme of things; this hotel had so many pluses that this small minus is hardly an issue to prevent you from staying here.

Would certainly highly recommend!

big title yep, the hotel was booked for my wife and myself after a business trip with 4 others, with no warning they allowed the group to use all facilities and for me to hold a tasting in the courtyard because we had been let down by somewhere else. my wife arrived early after 24 hour travel and let her use the room to change and freshen up b4 the room was ready. nothing was a problem and a big smile is worth than some git in 5* waiting to tap your pocket. lovely people. humming bird in the garden was a bit special

Room Tip: if you are not on the street surely anywhere is a good room

Stayed at Duque for a total of 5 nights over two stays in December/January. Great location near restaurants and shopping in Palermo Soho and a short walk to the subte. Very comfortable rooms and facility, tasty breakfast and pool and gardens in the back made for a much welcome break from the 100 degree heat. Raquel and the rest of the staff were always very helpful with information and recommendations. A great choice for a stay in BA!

Stayed here in January 2014. The hotel is brilliant - very clean, modern, and the pool is a nice touch as well. The rooms are very comfortable - a little bit on the smaller scale, but that's very common in Palermo. Location is fantastic - only a short strawl to the subway, and very close to some of the best restaurants in BA.

The staff were phenomenal - extremely helpful and really took pride in their work.

Wouldn't stay anywhere else!

What a great hotel after 3 weeks of camping in Patagonia. Even if I hadn't been camping I would've loved it. The front desk staff were very helpful, the breakfast area was lovely (ate far too many croissants!), and my room was clean and comfortable...just what I needed. Would highly recommend this place.

We were travelling around South America for a few weeks and had the best stay here during this time. We'd just done the Inca Trail prior to coming to BA and Duque was exactly what we needed straight after. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the area is fantastic with great bars and restaurants (Don Julio in particular). We loved the fact there was a spa there to relax in after a long day exploring BA. The rooms were immaculate - with amazingly comfortable beds! The breakfasts are superb as well, they really set us up for the day. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough for a stay in Buenos Aires, one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in - thank you!

We were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and it was our first time in South America. Duque was perfect for what we needed. A great location, just a few minute walk to soho and some of the best restaurants in buenos aires. The other direction also had the botanic garden, tea garden and evita museum and a metro stop about 10 minutes away. More importantly, the staff was great. Roberto and Eva went out of their way to accommodate us. Roberto gave us consistently great dining recs whether it was for great steaks, a smaller more romantic setting, or where to find the best street food in town (puerto mudero). He also helped us book the buqua bus to Uruguay since our Spanish was limited and we couldn't make it work on line. The room was small, but cozy and the breakfasts were continental style. Would definitely stay here again as a couple.
