“Charming boutique hotel in Palermo Soho”

We spent one last night in Buenos Aires after a week in Patagonia, before returning home. We took a chance on this small hotel and we lucked out. It was in a quiet residential location and walking distance from the subway. The staff were bilinqual and very helpful finding restaurants nearby. The breakfast was remarkable and even included a made to order omelet. The room was very modern as was the bathroom. We absolutely would stay here again.

This is a very well designed hotel with exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. It is in a good location with lots of good restaurants nearby (we had a great meal at La Cabrera) and an excellent base to explore BA. We particularly liked the free coffee machine (which made excellent coffee) and snacks. The garden and pool area was a particularly pleasant area to relax. Can't think of a negative thing to say about the Duque and we were very pleased that we chose the Duque to start our Argentinian holiday.

I am a 65 year old woman and was traveling solo with a backpack when I stayed at El Duque for 5 nights in February. The hotel is located a few blocks away from the subte and near major bus lines. In fact, if you arrive at the domestic airport AEP, you can even take a #160 bus from the airport for a couple of pesos which will drop you close to the hotel.

My room was small, but adequate. The breakfasts were great -- particularly the fresh fruit salad. There was coffee, tea, and pastries available at any time during the day.

The best part of the hotel is the staff -- Eva, Roberto, Tali, Rodrigo, Lise, "el Tigre", Fernando, and Flor. They all seem to be in their 20s and full of enthusiasm. They know the city well. Instead of going to a tourist steak house they can direct you to a wonderful "parilla" 4 blocks away which is packed with local people.

I had a great time at this place!

What a pleasure to stay at this hotel - from staff to rooms to breakfast service you couldn't make it better. There are a small number of rooms, and the staff seem to know the names of all the guests. The service is very personalized and so helpful. My favorite touch was the machine that made perfect cafe cortado for breakfast. If you want to be in the Palermo area, this is the place to be.

Our recent stay at the Duque Hotel Boutique and Spa in Buenose Aires was excellent. The staff were friendly and very helpful - from recommending tango shows and restaurants to giving tips on the best place to buy leather goods. The hotel is located in Palermo on a safe, quiet street close to all amenities. It really did feel like we were staying in a family's home! Our on-line booking of the hotel was easy, accurate and perfect. As we arrived too early to check-in (and again needed this service after checking out) we left our luggage under hotel security with confidence that it would be well cared for - and it was. Our room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel has a lovely little pool with a couple of comfortable seating areas around it. This was a great spot to sit and relax at the end of a warm summer day. A continental breakfast was included in a prettty little eating area and coffee and light snacks were available throughout the day. We will definately stay at this hotel again should we return to Buenos Aires and highly recommend it to others.

My husband and I spent 2 nights here in late January. We were in a deluxe room facing the front of the hotel. The room was spacious and light, with a very comfortable king bed. The staff was, as others have stated, simply excellent. They helped with requests before arrival and were flawless during our stay, arranging wine tastings and all transportation. Breakfast is simple and good. They offer to cook you eggs, but we did not order any.

The hotel is well-located in Palermo Soho, close to good restaurants (Don Julio is several blocks away, as are many others) and shopping. Wine can be bought at groceries/markets a block away in several directions. The subway is close.

We would not consider staying elsewhere in BA.

My wife and I stayed at Duque for three nights, which were our first three nights in Argentina. Needless to say, the staff made us feel extremely welcome and were very helpful. Although we arrived prior to check-in, they happened to have a room ready for us, which was great after a 10 hour flight. They also helped organize tickets and a trip to La Bombonera to see a Boca Juniors football match, which was quite an amazing experience. We loved the all-day coffee and lounging in their quiet courtyard. When we make it back to Buenos Aires, we will definitely stay at the Duque Hotel again!
