Guidebook mentioned something about underground tunnels and lodging but missed the big picture of this private museum. It is an impressive restoration of an old house from the 1830's. During the restoration they discovered ancient dwellings beneath the floors and also 2 rivers that flowed under these. The owner made the restoration a "labor of love" and took almost 15 years to excavate with the help of archeologists and to restore. It is a fascinating slice of BA history. Madeline was our English speaking guide and was extremely knowledgable and personable. Well worth the one hour tour and modest entrance fee.
