We stayed here for 3 nights and we had an amazing time. The hotel has a real homie feel to it, the owner Maria is always around and she's very warm and welcoming. The service was impeccable - exactly what we were looking for. Also, definitely try the breakfast, it's really good!

We enjoyed three nights at the Magnolia in February. The hotel has a great atmosphere, good location, a super helpful staff and nice breakfasts. The rooftop terrace was a great place to watch sunsets and the other public areas in the hotel were nice as well. We look forward to staying here again.

We stayed four nights at the Magnolia. Super hotel, lots of nice attention to detail and it's in a great area for strolling around fashionable Palmero with some smashing restaurants and shops just a few blocks away. All the staff are extremely helpful and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Lots of good advice on what to see and how to get there. Our room, on the top floor was spacious and spotlessly clean with a lovely balcony. There's also a lovely communal roof terrace which no one else seemed to want to use, so we had that to ourselves as well. Breakfast was included, very tasty, just one suggestion, a buffet style breakfast would be better as we felt it was a bit formal being waited on. Otherwise, a good value hotel which offers a peaceful and homely escape from the hustle and bustle of BA

Stayed four nights, first time in Buenos Aires. Very discrete eight room hotel in Palermo Soho district on a quiet street but just two blocks to catch a cab, or a five minute walk to the D Subte line. Numerous restaurant options. Casual but top notch execution in furnishings and services. Nice roof top terrace to have drink and watch the sun go down. Excellent staff. Not inexpensive.

Six of us (all adults) spent three nights at the Magnolia in December. It is a very nice little hotel in Palermo. The rooms are nice with many antiques. Very comfortable with nice bathrooms. Of our three rooms, one was noticeably smaller than the others. The location works well with many cafes, shops and bars/clubs within a few blocks. The key to a boutique hotel like this is the staff and they were excellent. They got to know us quickly and gave us many good tips for places to go and how to get there. They always went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We had a bit of an issue while there. We happened to hit BA in the middle of a heat wave and the power went out for about 18 hours, including overnight. That meant no lights, no A/C and in our case on the top floor - no water. Everyone there did all they could to make the situation as tolerable as possible. Breakfasts were good with eggs (cooked to order), sausage, fruit, homemade yogurt, croissants, etc. There were just a couple of things about the lay out that I didn't like: (1) There is apparently only one exit- the front door. It is locked at all times. A staffperson has to let you out and of course, let you in. They are there all of the time, and we never had to wait. But I don't like the concept should there be an emergency. The other is the layout of the second floor. To walk up or down, you have to use an outside metal staircase. I guess that isn't really an issue if you use the elevator. There seemed to be a problem with the doors from each level to the outside courtyard area. They would not stay shut, allowing lots of hot air to come into the lobby area on each floor. That should be an easy fix.

Dear family,

Thank you very much for you nice words. It was a pleasure to have you had as our guests at Magnolia!

I thank you very much for your comprehesion and good mood during the incredible heat wave that hit Buenos Aires making the power go out in mosts parts of the city. It was the first time ever it happend, so we where surprised as everyone here in BA and in other places of the country. We are now considering alternative measures in the rare case this should happen again.

Regarding the door being closed during the day, I want to tell you we have changed that. You are the second person being concernd about this, and as we take very serious our guests comments and suggestions, the door is now open from the inside, allowing to go out without needing one of us to open it.

Hopping to see you again in the future

Kind regards to all of you

María

I recently spent a week at the Magnolia Hotel and had a wonderful time. The staff was friendly and helpful and it was in a great location. It was walking distance to a ton of great restaurants and shopping. I will def stay here again on my next trip to Agrnetina! :) Thank you so much for such a great experience! I would also like to note that the city was experiencing power issues during our trip due to the heat and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay!

Room Tip: FYI - There is no pool but I cannot deselect it in my rating.

Nice little hotel. Welcoming and well styled. The room we had was quite small for the money (not sure we got the one we booked though), with a small bed, but had a good bathroom (albeit the plug did not fit the bath, so we could not use it). A welcome drink on the terrace was a nice touch. Breakfast was good. Location is nice, on a relatively quiet street, but within easy walking distance of the attractions of Palermo Soho. There is a bit of a strange security policy - you need to ring the bell to get in at any time of the day or night and you also need to have a member of staff unlock the door to get out (not sure what would be supposed to happen in the event of fire). Would stay here again.

Dear Craig,

We appreciate that you took the time to write such a detailed review. It is thanks to the feedback of our guests that we are able to improve.

About the room, the hotel has 3 categories Vitraux (smaller), Patio and Terraza (larger). The room type you reserved was a Vitraux category and is the one you got for the night you stayed with us. We are sorry to learn you thought you did not get the room that you had booked.

Also, we would have loved to assist you with another plug for your tub. We are always happy to help and we are sorry we did not know about this at the time.

About your concern related to our security measures, we would like you to know that we are all trained and certified to handle any kind of emergencies. The safety of our guests is our top priority.

We wish you and Kim all the best, and look forward to have you again as our guests in the future
