“Wonderful place to stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2014

I recently spent a week at the Magnolia Hotel and had a wonderful time. The staff was friendly and helpful and it was in a great location. It was walking distance to a ton of great restaurants and shopping. I will def stay here again on my next trip to Agrnetina! :) Thank you so much for such a great experience! I would also like to note that the city was experiencing power issues during our trip due to the heat and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay!

Room Tip: FYI - There is no pool but I cannot deselect it in my rating.

Nice little hotel. Welcoming and well styled. The room we had was quite small for the money (not sure we got the one we booked though), with a small bed, but had a good bathroom (albeit the plug did not fit the bath, so we could not use it). A welcome drink on the terrace was a nice touch. Breakfast was good. Location is nice, on a relatively quiet street, but within easy walking distance of the attractions of Palermo Soho. There is a bit of a strange security policy - you need to ring the bell to get in at any time of the day or night and you also need to have a member of staff unlock the door to get out (not sure what would be supposed to happen in the event of fire). Would stay here again.

Dear Craig,

We appreciate that you took the time to write such a detailed review. It is thanks to the feedback of our guests that we are able to improve.

About the room, the hotel has 3 categories Vitraux (smaller), Patio and Terraza (larger). The room type you reserved was a Vitraux category and is the one you got for the night you stayed with us. We are sorry to learn you thought you did not get the room that you had booked.

Also, we would have loved to assist you with another plug for your tub. We are always happy to help and we are sorry we did not know about this at the time.

About your concern related to our security measures, we would like you to know that we are all trained and certified to handle any kind of emergencies. The safety of our guests is our top priority.

We wish you and Kim all the best, and look forward to have you again as our guests in the future

We ended our trip to Argentina with 2 nights at the Magnolia. It's such a quiet hotel that at times it felt like the staff was there to serve only us. We had windows that opened to a private courtyard and with the lovely weather and visual privacy, we left them open whenever we were in the room. The breakfasts were made to order and the food was excellent. The room was comfortable and well-appointed.

Room Tip: We did not rate value because this was part of a package set up by a travel agency and we don't...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Magnolia Hotel, a boutique gem. We were within easy walking distance of the SoHo Palermo shopping area, a few blocks from a subway entrance and commercial area, close enough to the Japanese Gardens to walk there (a recommended destination), and down the street from the 1810 Restaurant where we enjoyed a tasty, inexpensive dinner the night we arrived. Breakfast was complete with a full menu from which to choose whatever we wanted. The staff was wonderful, helpful with directions and suggestions. We are most grateful for special consideration the day we left when we had a late night plane. Because our room had not been reserved, we were able to leave our belongings and take showers before going to the airport.-- the latest check out we've ever had!

Room Tip: We stayed in the room on the first floor that is equipped with a walk-in shower for someone who is h...

family vaca for 6 (20-58 yo) started in BA at this gem boutique hotel where the entire staff went out of their way to make our stay incredible! 3 rooms all top notch and the suggestions made were spot on! easy walk to metro and main street palermo...restaurants, shopping, night life and across the street little tienda to pick up water and fruit for our days out easy. breakfast was really nice bonus and matte explained and shared. rooftop had no real view but enjoyed evening wine and nightcaps!! we are discerning new yorkers and could not have been happier.

Room Tip: all rooms great as hotel is on quiet street....

We stayed at the Magnolia at both the beginning and end of our trip and enjoyed it immensely. Coming back to it at the end of a fairly exhausting journey was like coming home. The staff could not have been more helpful...charming, informed, patient (!!) and totally engaged in ensuring that we and the other guests were having a good time. We enjoyed the Palermo neighbourhood and were very glad we were there instead of downtown. The more we walked around the more we discovered lots of interesting shops and restaurants, so we were glad to have a few extra days. For us, a significant part of the Magnolia's charm is that it is a small boutique hotel with personality and we would certainly stay there again.

Room Tip: We upgraded to get a larger room because we had a lot of stuff, but all of the rooms are a fine. Cup...

Our family of three shared a very nice room in this small, clean boutique hotel. It is in a great location. Safe and close to many restaurants and shopping, and close enough to clubs if you are looking for some fun in the evening. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back here when visiting Buenos Aires again.
