The food was ok, but I felt the show went on for an hour more than needed. There are only so many variations on the tango to see..

we went there to see tango, but 70% of the show was singing and playing music (no tango music). What a shame because we had bought expensive tickets and got a very good table.
Food portions were very tiny and with no taste

Fun evening, amazing dancing and a lovely setting.
Only negative was bus ride to event. Tango Porteno offers free pick up from local hotels. Definitely a convenient value BUT we had to spend an hour driving around BA picking up other guests. Would have walked/gotten own transport if we knew about the 1 hr bus ride!
But would still highly recommend the Show!

It was a nice experience overall. Food was decent and service was good. Not sure about the other shows but seemed a bit pricey.

I took the shuttle and it arrived at the hotel about 8:45pm, even though they said it'd be 8-8:30pm. The shuttle is very convenient.

The way it works is you get to order and eat as soon as you get there, however if you're a little late they'll still serve you during the show but from what I saw it's slower...so try to get there on time.

We had a meeting in BA and we were 350 people going to Tango Porteno. Impressive buiding and huge place. Courteous and efficient reception. Friends who had taken the tango lessons at Tango Porteno, just before the show, were all smiling and they all really liked the experience, carrying proudly their Tango Porteno Diploma. We did not go for that and it might be a good idea to go for the lessons 2hrs before the show.

The dancing was great and so was the band that should have taken a bigger place. As far as the songs, by this old crooner, they were not at par with the dancing or the music.

The dinner was a bit ordinary and once again, all the beef was overcooked...and this went for everybody except the odd ones who liked their meat well done.

The service was prompt.

Nice attraction but more of a tourist trap, and really nothing to write home about.
