“Very nice tango show, very good food”
Reviewed March 3, 2012

Looking for a tango show different from the "Broadway Stile" (I like it in New York...), a "portenho" suggested this place to us, and I am glad we took that suggestion. We chose the show with dinner; it could be only the show, but picking both is the better option. The atmosphere is nice, cozy, comfortable. People are placed in long line tables, were they eat first and watch the show later, in the same place. Service is very well organized. When you arrive, they have your numbered place selected and promptly take you there; in a sequence you are supposed to set your order for dinner: three options for the entree, three for the main dish, and three for the desert; also you can choose the drink: soft or wine and mineral water. Very quickly they start the service, bringing you warm and very tasteful, delicious food. Waiters are very professional and very well educated. Wine (my option) comes in all the time; your glass will never be empty until the show is over. After dinner, the tango show. Dancers are very professional, music group is a must, choreography is fantastic! And some dancers are also singers! And if you need a restroom, it is clean and organized. I really loved Angelitos and strongly recommend it!

“A must see Tango show in Buenos Aires”
Reviewed March 2, 2012

Of the many tango shows in Buenos Aires we were fortunate to choose the dinner/tango show offered at Cafe de los Angelitos. The package we booked included transportation to and from the theatre. I recommend doing it this way. This was an authentic Tango show, complete with accomplished singers (male and female) and a multi-piece band which was located on the second story of the stage. The stage was ornately draped in blues and golds and the dinner tables were set with china and silverware. The history of the theatre enveloped us, it was almost like stepping back in time and watching a tango show from the 40's. We sat in the balcony area of the theatre which offered an unobstructed view of the show. I don't think that there were any bad seats in the house but we were very pleased to be sitting in this location. All in all it was a very classy experience. The multi course meal, which included plentiful amounts of wine, was delicious and the menu offered many choices which appealed to all palettes. There were four of us who ordered a variety of menu items and all were great. The waiters were very attentive and friendly. Our thanks to the front desk staff at the Duque Boutique hotel for the perfect recommendation. To view authentic tango in Buenos Aires was a fantastic experience that should not be missed if you enjoy dance and are in this area.

“Second time at this place, even better!”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

A traditional Café decorated with photos of tango celebrities, nice furniture, and excellent table cloth. An extense recomendable Menu - Lamb was wonderfull - and an attentive service made lunch a real pleasure.

Don't forget to ask for a Clerico with Champagne, a delightfull refreshing beverage.

The local "Pan Dulce" is unique and delicious. I bought one.

Next time in BUE, next time at Cafe de los Angelitos.

“Avoid using a Credit Card if possible.”
Reviewed January 28, 2012

The tango show was great, and the food was OK--however managements practice (they unfairly blamed the waiter) of asking for payment during the darkness of the tango show caused my credit card receipt to be signed by the wrong person. I then refused to sign the other persons. Ultimately after much discussion and grief, the transactions were reversed, however management handled the whole dispute process very poorly. In the future, they should either ask for payment before or after the show, when customers can see what they are doing--not during.

“Great Tango Show, food pretty average, very much mass catering”
Reviewed January 4, 2012

My wife loves Tango so the family went for a meal and the show. The evening included bus collestion and drop off from our hotel, the meal, soft drinks and wine and of course the show.It was not a cheapnight almost £100 a person. There were about £200 people there and the food was pretty average. The coursescame up very quickly and we had to sendthe main course back because it was cold.Them we had to pretend we were wating for 20 minutesto prevent our dessert arriving! The overall service was poor andwe struggled to et drinks.

When it started the Tango show was excellent and lasted for about 90 minutes.

Overalldepite the high cost and very average food we had a really nice evening.
