The hostel is located in the San Telmo district and is walking distance to many great places to eat and sight see. The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful and create a great atmosphere. The rooms all have a bathroom and shower room inside which is very convenient. It's a pretty big place, so you have to be more proactive than usual to meet people. Thursday night's free tango lesson was really fun! The only problem with this place is that it can be pretty loud because most of the rooms are above the courtyard where people hang out and music plays until late in the night. Then again, you are in BsAs, so you should probably be out at a Milonga!

Stayed here for 3 days over Christmas, during which BA is pretty quiet. Hostel was clean and well maintained -- except for the door handle to my 4-bed dorm, which remained broken throughout my stay. Staff very welcoming and offered good suggestions on places to see and eat. Good atmosphere, grill in the courtyard and a well- stocked fridge of Quilmes made this a favorite.

Everything is good about this hostel except the noise!
The beds are very comfortable, everything seemed clean, staff were great and breakfast was good. However, if you want a good nights sleep, it might not be the best place. Most of the rooms are above the courtyard, which had music playing pretty much all night and loud too. Also the "personal lockers" in the rooms are not secure but you can rent actual lockers in the basement for 5 pesos argentinos a day.

Room Tip: Ask if you can get a room at the front of the hostel

the staff were very helpful and the rooms were basic and clean. I was in a double room and there was a hair dryer and private bathroom and AC. I like the set up of the hostel. The open space dining room/kitchen and common room creates a very nice atmosphere to meet other travelers. (there is another common room in the basement). There is 21% VAT tax added to your booking (i did not read the fine print), which usually does not happen at the other hostels I stayed at in argentina (maybe the tax was already included in the final booking price). Overall, the hostel was bit pricier than other hostels in Argentina but the helpful staff and the activities they help organize (free walking tour) was the reason why I moved back to this hostel after staying at another hostel in BA

If you do plan on staying in BA for longer than a week, I recommend trying to find a place in Recoleta. I checked out most of the neighborhoods in BA and Recoleta seem the most modern and convenient in terms of restaurants/supermarkets/atmosphere/shopping.

Behemoth of a place. Feels more like a hotel than a hostel, although we did stay in a private room. Very clean rooms with modern decor. Helpful staff, lots of room to socialise, use of kitchen....but refrigerator always full. Air Con...which is a must in this city during summer! Average breakfast. but check-in at 3pm?!

If I went back I would probably stay in Palermo rather than San Telmo, as there is more happening.

Great times! Good structure and the staffs know how to advice you and they are really helpful. All the days we had things to do, and they say you whatever thing you are looking for. And they enjoy the time with us.
