Sipan was recommended by our Hotel concierge. It did not disappoint! After eating Italian and Argentinian for 4 nights in a row, SIPAN offered our families a yummy break from the standard Argentinian fare. The cuisine was a tasty melange of Japanese/Peruvian food.

The menu is in Spanish only, so after a few failed attempts at figuring out our choices, our waiter brought over another waiter who spoke fluent English. This definitely helped because the combinations could not be interpreted otherwise. The portions were plentiful, and the decor was very "SOHO". Our dinner at SIPAN was one of the best meals we experienced in Argentina.

Just a commentary... service is scattered and mishandled throughout every restaurant Buenos Aires.

After trying and loving (twice) the SIPAN at the Palermitano hotel we decided to try the SIPAN in downtown. The food is also splendid. Won-tons, ceviche, you name it. Be ready for an extraordinary eating experience. We found out that Chardonnay wine matches well ceviche...Amazing.
Service is on the slow and careless side. Will not open before 8pm. And will ignore you before 8pm. You cannot even enter for waiting (even the doors being fully open).
But do not miss it. Overall it is a great option in BsAs, in special if you are not in Palermo nor want to take a taxi all the way there.

We wanted some sushi while in BA so tried Sipan since we had read about it. The food was quite good when it finally arrived, but the service was terrible and they were not busy!

Every time I come to Buenos Aires this is one of my stops, the fish is great and the portions are enough for two. Full recommend the catch of the day with Chorrillana sauce. Also the entrees are great , I tried the Tiradito and the flavor was amazing. My only suggestion will be to add more selection of beers, Cusquena with all this flavors will be great ;-)

Sipan was the first restaurant my friend and I visited in BA after arriving earlier in the day on the 6th of August. We sat in the smaller part of the restaurant and was waited on by the bartender. We had pisco sours YUM!, salad, chicken won-ton soup, and appetizers.

Japanese-Peruvian fusion, yes please! It was also pretty close to our hotel.
