This was our main hangout during a 4 week stay in Palermo Soho. Our first dinner and our last, interspersed with a couple of other quick dinners and almost every night by our goodnight caipirinhas - which were the best I have had, ever. Super friendly, no matter what - one rainy night we were the only ones, one thunderous night with a million guests we were seated at a 4 person table just for a couple of caipirinhas. Some things are just ok, but their 'frango xadrez' is an amazing stew for a cold or tired evening. Their 'salgadinhos' plate makes for a good shared appetizer. Small sweet Brazilian pastry-like things to accompany your drinks. Don't go there for the wine, but for the drinks and the beer.

This little neighborhood restaurant is a pleasant change of pace in the Palermo Viejo neighborhood. It's not one of those new chic yuppie places that are popping up all over the neighborhood.

I go back for the chicken stroganoff. It's really good.

After several meals enjoying Argentine Parillas, we decided to try this cozy Brazillian restaurant.
We were not disappointed, the dishes were hearty and plentiful. The extensive menu, seems to contains all of the classic dishes from Brazil. The Feijoada was excellent, as was the shrimp casserole. Also a pre-dinner Caipirinha set the stage for a nice evening.

This quaint little eatery has to be the most unusual restaurant that we have ever eaten at! We asked numerous questions pertaining to the unfamiliar Brazilian menu, laboriously made our selections and were then informed that we couldn't have what we had chosen. They were out of stock on both dishes. At this point we decided to leave our fate in our waiter's hands and ordered what they had. This turned out to be a most tasty 'fejioada' - mixed meat and black bean casserole served in an earthenware pot. It was positively delicious, a lovely surprise!. Our second meal there was similar. Once again the food was flavoursome but our waiter made the selection from what was available. A great restaurant to frequent when you don't want to made a decision as to what you feel like eating, but want a wholesome 'home-cooked' dinner! (The 'fejioada' speciality of the house is always available!) All in all, a very interesting dining experience!
