“Clean, bright, comfortable and even good location !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

When I first open the door of the room, I saw a new world spread out......!

Well-designed, modern room but my wife and I felt warm and comfortable at the atmosphere of this white and bright room. Especially some branchs of trees with green sleeves just outside of the terraze was like a painting. We loved it!
The room was comfortably furnished, all the facilities including a cute sauna bath worked normally without any problems. Probably, thanks to this sauna, I was able to wake up very easily in the morning, even though we walked along the´Florida street´ all the day.

We have been perfectly satisfied with Casa Calma and smart staff, I believe they are making Casa Calma Hotel really tranquil and peaceful.
In case I have another opportunity to travel to BsAs, I have no choice but to stay at ´Casa Calma´ again!

This was our 4th trip to Buenos Aires. We always stay at the Recoleta neighborhood and this is by far, our best choice ever. The staff was very kind and professional. This is a small hotel (only 14 rooms) but the rooms are spacious enough, well decorated and well maintained. They even have a whirlpool tub for relaxing after walking around the area all day long! Service was impeccable. Breakfast was very good (try the media lunas) although the space for breakfast was too small. This is why room service free of charge is a good option. The hotel is located right on the heart of Recoleta but not on a busy street. Ask the staff about their recommendation for restaurants. They have a list and we have been in some of them, which we found to be excellent choices. We definitely recommend this hotel and will go back again next time we go to Buenos Aires.

I can't say well enough about this hotel-- many excellent reviews have already been published and I share each comment: young, friendly and super knowledgeable staff. We were amazed by every single detail, breakfast "in bed" at no additional charge, the most relevant news from our home country as well as ba weather forecast printed out and delivered each morning...everything was just so thoughtful and we loved the idea of a green and peaceful space in the hearth of the city. We also appreciated the "honesty bar" concept: you could take anything you wanted at any time of the day and night (cakes, juices, coffee...) and just write it down on a small white board so that they could charge it to your room later. I loved that you felt part of a positive lifestyle they decided to embrace. Well done !! Will definitely recommend and go back un case I happen in Buenos Aires again.

Lovely little hotel - rooms are huge and beautifully designed, with great bathroom and jacuzzi. Good central location. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in selecting good place to go for dinner and making reservations.

Casa Calma Hotel was recommended by a friend who is working at a travel agency and has a brought knowledge of Souh America in general.
Upon our arrival we were welcomed very warmly by the staff. Our room wasn´t ready yet as we arrived in the morning but they did their very best to make the waiting time as short and comfortable as possible.
The room was big, modern and very cosy and contained an open bathroom with a spa area. Although it is situated just behind the busy Avenida 9 de Julio it really is very calm. As there are not many rooms in the hotel the atmosphere is very personal and calm. The breakfast selection is nice and of good quality.
We got excellent recommendations to restaurants, sightseeing spots as well as trendy shopping areas. Due to its central location we could walk to most of the interesting spots and were able to return during the day to relax.
We also needed reconfirmation of our further hotel bookings as we did them by ourselves. The staff was so kind and wrote to all the hotels an email.
In the evenings, we always received the weather forecast for the coming day as well as a letter with our dinner reservation.
We would definetely return to this fantastic, personal hotel in the heart of Buenos Aires!!

We stayed in the Casa Calma for 4 nights before sailing on a cruise leaving from Buenos Aires.
From arrival until leaving we found the staff to extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is small with only 2 rooms per floor but the rooms were really great with showers, sauna and hot tubs. The provided breakfast was a good continental breakfast in a small room on the ground floor but despite the lack of space we were always able to get a seat.
The hotel itself is located within walking distance of all the main attractions in the city including the Sunday market in San Telmo and Recoleta Cementario which are both about an hours walk through interesting neighbourhoods. The hotel staff were able to arrange for shows, taxis and restaurants and their recommendations turned out to be good choices.
We would recommend this hotel to any one visiting Buenos Aires.

Room Tip: WE booked a superior room with a view of the street and had no problems with noise.

We found this boutique on line and reserved on our own by phone. We made arrangements for a car to pick us up and added the very reasonable fee to room (very convenient!)We missed one of our flights because of plane mechanical issues, and called to make a change for the car which they handled easily. We arrived with no luggage except carry on after having no luck with the airlines. The young man in charge immediately took charge and tracked it down in Atlanta. He followed up the next day and persevered until we had our luggage to the upcoming cruise to antartica! WONDERFUL, professional, kind, and knowledgable staff...very friendly, helpful, and fluent in a number of languages. We found the room comfortable, large, and well appointed. We enjoyed the jacuzzi in the room and the towel heater after a long, tiring and frustrating journey. The breakfast offered was light and healthy, delicious and well cooked. Very good value for the money We were close enough to a small market to get water and sundries, and safe in our location inside and outside of the hotel. I highly recommend the hotel, staff, location convenience, and security and would stay there anytime while in Buenos Aires.

Room Tip: Very quiet retreat in a very busy, noisy city. We stayed on the second floor..very quiet, light, and...
