Casa Calma is a beatufull boutique hotel in Buenos Aires. It is located 4 blocks away from Florida street. The hotel has 9 floors and it has 2 room in each floor. The rooms are large, clean well equipped and confortable with great bath. The bed was very comfortable.
Although central, the room was very quite
The staff is very friendly, speaks fluent english and are very helpful and they gave us good advice on where to dine and where to visit.
At the reception you will always find fresh water with cookies.
Breakfast is good (not the richest in variety) but tasty.

Room Tip: We had room 802 which did not have any special views but was very quite nad comfortable

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights prior to going on a cruise to Santiago, so we did not have much time to enjoy the city. However, we managed to fit some sights in and were also very pleased with this hotel. Clean, good location and very helpful staff - what more could you ask for?

We were on the 9th floor in a room facing the street, but noise was not an issue as the street in effectively a pedestrian walkway with cars only allowed to service the properties.

We got good directions to the sights from the staff and also enjoyed the breakfast included in our rate.

Room Tip: The high floors seem to have larger rooms and are quieter.

Greeted at the front desk by two of the most genuiely happy people I have ever met on a reception desk. Our room wasn't ready but they invited us to breakfast. You don't get most hotels doing that. This was a great introduction to their cafe/eatery area. There was no coffee facilities in the bedrooms iirc, but you could come down here 24/7 and get a far better one from the machine. As well as the lovely spread of food, eggs were available to order.

We managed to get a topcashback deal when booking so upgraded to the next tier of rooms. We didn't have a view but it was a very spacious room. The bed was very comfortable and both the room and shower area very clean. The only annoying thing was the windows overlooked a small courtyard and noise carried in the early moring. Well, early when you're on holidays.

Staff on reception saved us making the same mistake after our first experience when we dined at night at a nearby resturant on the main street. A few minutes walk away and down a side road is great area full of far more authentic places to eat and full of atomosphere. Thanks team! They also helped us choose a tango show to see (yes, touristy, but hey!)

The main street from the subway is ok, a bit run down, but if you walk one street back it all changes. Much nicer district! You aren't in the centre of town here, but after going to the centre on a Sunday when it was quiet and deserted I'm glad I was here. The train doesn't take long to get to the centre and I would stay here again. Far nicer than just a city chain hotel.

Great laundry service where my clothes came back folded like my mum used to! There is a lovely gym/spa area and a pool but we didn't get a change to use it.

Most impressive was on our last night when booking a very early mornign cab to the ariport they offered to have some breakfast ready for us. This was most appreciated and a lovely way to end the stay. All the staff were brilliant, from the front of house staff to the cleaners who even though they didn't speak English, still made you feel welcome.

First of all: jacuzzi and sauna room in a hotel room? That is awesome. After days of hiking and physical activities during the trip to Patagonia, the jacuzzi was the great way to end the trip. The bed is also to die for and perfect for tired body.

The hotel is located right in the city center so it's not far from major attraction. The hotel also offers airport transfer which is cheaper than regular taxi so it's added bonus. I also like the attention to the detail aspect in the room (efficient lighting, yoga mat etc). Another great thing about this hotel was the staff. They were excellent and helpful. The breakfast was not the best in town but the staff were trying to accommodate any request for hot food.

I do really hope they can keep up the good works and maintain the property as I will definitely stay there again if I come back to BA.

My fiance and I stayed here during our time in Buenos Aires for 3 nights. We booked through Jetsetter, since the review they wrote on the hotel sounded fabulous. The description of an eco-friendly small boutique hotel with breakfast included and a sauna in your room sounded lovely. Unfortunately our room on the 4th floor did not live up to those standards. The room was dirty. The curtains had back stains throughout that looked like dead bugs that were stuck in there, the shower had mold and the shower head looked like it hadnt been cleaned in years. The "sauna" was barely large enough to get into and the bucket that was essential for heating up the stones in the sauna had holes in it, so the water went all over the bathroom when I filled it. The wood floor in the room was beat up. The jacuzzi tub sounded nice when booking, but I wouldnt dare get in there when I saw it. Based on all of the reviews, maybe I got a bad room, or maybe thats just South American standards? Photos are included of al of these comments.
The staff were what made the stay. They were beyond helpful and pleasant. They always asked if we needed help and gave us many great recommendations on where to go. The hotel also had 2 bikes that you are able to take out and use around the city, which was a nice addition. The location is good if you are in BA for the 1st time, but next time I go, I would not stay in Centro.

Room Tip: If they put you on the 4th floor, Id ask for another room
