“fun, interesting, thought provoking guide to Buenos Aires and its history”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

having only a couple of days in Buenos Aires, I'm so glad we caught this afternoon tour! It was a fascinating and very eloquent guide to a vibrant city by one of its own. Sol was enthusiastic, friendly and warm and gave a passionate account of her city, its turbulent politics and history, and life in present day Argentina. Going early on in my visit helped me appreciate the rest of my time there more and I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone dropping by or staying! Thanks Sol!

“New to BA - start here”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

I joined this group for a tour with Sol in the morning a week and a half ago. It took about 2.5 hours with lots of walking. Sol speaks english very well ,she is entertaining, and a local with that not only has a lot of knowledge to share about the history, culture and the people but also has handy safety tips about what to be careful about as a tourist in BA. If you have just arrived in BA I suggest this is a good place to start and of course Sol is very happy to answer any questions about the city and seems to know heaps. It is a free trip but so good that I was very happy to provide the optional tip. Long may it continue.

“Entertaining and Informative”
Reviewed February 18, 2013

We were in Buenos Aires for 6 days - on our first day, we took a 1/2 day bus tour of the city - learned a little about the city and visited lots of souvenir shops. Then we did the free BA walking tours - morning one with Gaston and afternoon one with Sol - what a difference! No souvenir shops, but lots of great information about the country, city, culture, and everyday life in Buenos Aires! Both guides had great personalities and were enthusiastic and proud to show off their city - would recommend this tour to all visitors! Since there is a lot of walking involved, the tour groups tend to be younger (20's -30's)- we were some of the "older" members of the group - over 50 - we managed to keep up and have a great time.

“Do this tour!”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

The tour is well-worth your time. We did the Recoleta tour with Sol. She is simply fabulous! She's incredibly friendly, very knowledgeable about the city's history and shared lots of interesting anecdotes about Argentinian culture and lore. We learned so much more than if we had just used our guide book and roamed around. The tour was longer than we expected (about 2.5 hours). We were going to duck out after the first hour, but we were enjoying ourselves so much that we couldn't leave.

They entirely support themselves and this business on tips. There's no pressure to tip more than you can afford. It's a really cool service that they are offering.

“Highly recommended !!”
Reviewed February 16, 2013

It is a fairly complete tour. Begins in the Congress, the goes on Avenida de Mayo until the Casa Rosada and then ends at El Obelisco. The route is 2.30 hours aprox.
Our guide today (Gaston) makes it excellent. Explains everything perfect, is open to all sorts of questions and makes it very entertaining. I recommend this walking tour 100%
