Although you generally can't go wrong for steak in BA, this is one of my top five steaks ever (I had the bife de chorizo). The service was great, our meal was reasonably priced and the food was simple but brilliant.

I also noticed that people waiting for a table were given a glass of sparkling wine which I thought was a nice touch.

“Good consistent steaks with indoor & outdoor seating”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2013

This was my husband's favourite restaurant on our stay in BsAs for 8 days in Palermo Soho. They cook a great steak & the fries are plentiful. Opt for the ribeye, it is so juicy. In Toronto, the patios are the premium seating however, due to the heat, it was the indoor seating that was fully booked. We actually ate here twice because we loved it so much.

“Fine local steak house”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

It feels like you are a local when you eat here. Get a table outside and watch the world go by. Don't worry if you have to wait for a table, it doesn't take long and they give you a complimentary glass of champagne while you wait.

“Wanted to Like it...”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

It was recommended so we made a reservation. We were excited... it was a lit up corner restaurant and it looked like a great place with great ambiance until they walked us up the stairs. And then we looked around. It felt like we were banished to the 'tourist outpost' overlooking a lively restaurant but we weren't there. And no, we didn't ask for the tourist section with an English speaking waiter because we didn't need it.

Gotta say the downstairs atmosphere appeared festive and the bottles of wine on the wall impressive. It should have been good... My first weekend back in SA and all of us were excited for our first empanada and our first ojo de bife (ribeye). Glad it wasn't the last meal of our trip! The empanada was boring and beef chewy and tasteless. It's Argentina - it should be a no brainer. There's a lot of choices in this town so go to find your beef elsewhere.

“A must when in Buenos Aires!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013

Yummy! Our friends had steak. I had pasta. My husband had the salmon. Everything was so good! They should totally sell those beautiful knives that say Don Julio (see picture). I never thought of using leather as a table cloth but it even ages well. Great idea Don Julio! Service felt very upscale even though the cost was very reasonable. The building felt like a step way back in time. Very cool. I would suggest going early (early for locals) like 8pm or 9pm, especially if you didn't make a reservation. Otherwise, it gets super packed. Also, don't be in a rush, really, at any restaurant in BA. They move slow but you learn to appreciate that you really shouldn't be in a rush anyway. Enjoy!
