“A perfect alternative to Argentinian grill”
Reviewed January 10, 2012

After 2 weeks of eating local food, it was a wonderful change to have some authentic Japanese food. Delicious gyoza, tofu tempura, spicy prawn handrolls and chicken fried rice made for a perfect lunch stop - refuelling us for an afternoon of shopping. The service was excellent. Highly recommended.

“Bit pricy but worth the investment”
Reviewed January 8, 2012

I booked a table via phone- easy going.
Arrived 15 minutes later but table was still reserved. Restaurants provided a nice wine menu but wine I selected was not available, also no long drinks even on the menu are available. Wine was served a bit too cold but waitress was well trained to serve it.
Ordered a plate for 4 persons with Sushi and Sashimi, fried Tofu and ordered another Sashimi + Sushi. Reason was that the 1st plate with 40 pieces was not enough to feed the hungry guys.
Not much to say: Quality is 100%, you will not be disappointed. I found the Sashimi outstanding while the Sushi was still good but not a highlight.
Service is OK, was very good at the beginning, when the restaurant was nearly empty but as soon as more people arrived the service got stuck. Also those cheap chop sticks are quite disappointing. For the price you can expect some nice "traditional" chop sticks and not one way.
Bill was 750 ARS incl. 1 bottle of wine and several soft drinks for 5 persons.

“Excellent sushi in Buenos Aires”
Reviewed November 28, 2011

I discovered Irifune during a stay in Sheraton Libertador a couple of years ago and having the pleasure to visit Buenos Aires a couple of times each year for business I have become a regular to this restaurant. Sushi is fresh and nicely presented and location is very good if you are in the city center. Great option when you don't want more steaks...enjoy.
