“Couldn't have been better...”
Reviewed May 11, 2014

This is a beautiful but small boutique hotel in a very cool, hipster-esque and very approachable locale in Palermo. The very good breakfast included makes a great start to the day and can be made to your specifications. The real highlight here is the staff, who were so helpful and welcomed our questions and requests without hesitation. I would like to relay a very heartfelt thank you to Frauke, Phillipe, Pamela, Gabriel, Roberto et al., for the restaurant and attraction suggestions, which really made our stay nothing short of excellent! Their guidance, helpfulness, and comprehensive knowledge of the neighborhood, provided during our four day stay in Buenos Aires, not only enhanced the hotel stay itself but made a very positive impression on our view of the city. Each staff member as well as Frauke, the proprietor of the hotel, represent both the hotel and the city beautifully. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Buenos Aires and I'm certain that you'll feel as welcomed and satisfied as we did.

Summary - stay here if you are travelling to BA. No need to look at other places.

Longer summary...

The Miravida Soho is a six-room boutique hotel in the Palermo Soho neighborhood of Buenos Aires. Its central location makes it easy to get around the city, with lots of shopping, dining, parks and museums within a 30-minute walk, and most everything else in the city is a short, inexpensive taxi ride away.

We stayed in Room 6. The room was a good size, with a queen-sized bed, a wardrobe, TV, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. It is a perfect size, because you really find you don't want to spend your time in the room. The lobby has a sitting area, the front desk, and a small dining area with a bar. In the morning, the room serves as the breakfast room. Breakfast is included and is made-to-order from a menu of 5-6 items. We found that the staff was willing to deviate a bit from the menu if you have a special request.

At night, the dining area becomes a wine bar, with a good selection of local wines and cheese plates and empanadas to snack on while you drink.

Where the Miravida Soho really stands out is with their excellent staff. What is quickly apparent is that the staff enjoys what they do and really like each other. This gives the place a real family feel and they make you feel like family when you are there.

We were genuinely sad to leave. You feel like you are leaving friends behind when you go.It makes you want to go back and see everyone.

Great place. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Room 6 was great for a couple. Quiet and a good size.

This was the perfect choice for us. Stay here for the wonderfully caring staff and the ambience that encourages interaction among guests. Don't miss the wine tasting. Great location in a happening neighborhood.

This was a cute boutique hotel. The service was GREAT. Everyone working at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and is made to order daily (4-5 items to pick from) and they were all delicious. Room was neat and clean, however it was on the small side. It is about 5 to 7 blocks from the metro, laundry was ~3 blocks, and restaurants are at various distances (2-10blocks); the location seemed relatively safe, even in the middle of the night. WiFi connection was good with several routers throughout the hotel. It is about an 45minutes to an hour from the EZE airport.
This is a very American/European targeted hotel (the owner lived in the US for several years). Prices are in USD, breakfast items were more standard American fare than anywhere else we stayed in Argentina, and you can flush toilet paper (there is even a sign posted in the bathroom to tell you). They accept credit card and can exchange money for you at the front desk.
We would stay here again, but would get one of the bigger rooms.

Very little to add to all the good reviews. This is a lovely little gem in the Palermo district which is very convenient for central BA. The staff are wonderful and could not be more helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with excellent bathrooms. Breakfast is a pleasure. Price is fair and competitive in BA. The Palermo district is very safe and has lots of good restaurants. If you are used to 4/5 star business Hotels and you want that style then Miravidasoho is not for you. But as a charming, comfortable, relaxed and gentle experience Miravidasoho cannot be easily beaten.

Room Tip: Room 6 top floor was lovely and had no traffic noise

The staff, the accommodations, the amenities were superb. At first the neighborhood seemed a bit removed, but within a block were endless choices for great restaurants and sidewalk cafés. We book-ended a trip through Argentina in Buenos Aires. Stayed at the Miravida upon arrival, but they didn't have a vacancy for our return- so they found a place almost as nice! The staff builds such a rapport with guests that we stopped by anyway on our return-and got the best restaurant review for that evening. (Las Pizarras Bistro-reservations even an hour in advance are essential since they keep the front door locked).
We also used the Subte (subway) a lot and the walk from the station to Miravida is pleasant and secure.
There's a well-deserved reason that this place shows up at the top of the rankings!

We stayed at this excellent small hotel for 5 nights at the end of February. We loved the location as it felt very safe and there were very good restaurants that we walked to/from that had been recommended by the staff. The hotel itself is extremely clean and our room was very spacious (we had the terrace room).
However, the best thing about the hotel is the staff. All are very polite and helpful and they really seem to enjoy looking after their guests.
We did the wine tasting one evening and it was extremely well done - very informative and enjoyable. And one must not forget the breakfasts which are cooked to order - very delicious!!
It was a wonderful introduction to Buenos Aires. We are so glad that we were able to stay here!!
