Miravida Soho Hotel & Wine Bar
Ranked #3 of 444 Hotels in Buenos Aires
Certificate of Excellence

There is much to recommend this hotel. It is small and intimate, quiet, very clean, sports a well-curated wine bar, has a cozy courtyard for lounging, serves fine breakfasts, and has comfortable, well-maintained rooms. An elevator goes to both floors. The location is in Palmero Soho, a few short blocks from restaurants, trendy shops and boutiques, and a 15-minute walk to Plaza Italia where one can join free walking tours and find the nearest subway stop. We always felt safe in the hotel's neighborhood and were never bothered.

But the most important reason to stay here is the owner/manager Frauke ("Frankie") and her amazing staff, including Pamela, Felipe ("Philip"), Christie (the sommelier and "Wine Girl"), and the others who make this a truly special place. They like each other and like their jobs, and it shows in the kind of service they provide to guests. They are helpful with tips on touring and are reliable and prompt in making arrangements for transportation, restaurant reservations, etc. In short, they make an otherwise pleasant experience become exceptional.

Tips:

The rooms use the 3-pronged outlets with the two main prongs forming a "V" at 45 degrees, like an Australian adapter. The third vertical opening is for grounded plugs which you probably won't need, so finding an adapter with just the two slanted flat prongs will be adequate.

Christie will occasionally organize evening wine tastings with food pairings. We went to another tasting in Palermo Soho at a nearby well-advertised venue, and we all agreed that Christie delivered the better product. She knows her wines and is very informative. Cost was $45 USD per person. The food is adequate as a light evening meal.

Room Tip: We stayed in Courtyard 3 and our friends in Courtyard 2, one floor up from ground level. The rooms a...

Where do we begin. The breakfasts are unlike most inclusive breakfasts. We ordered off of a menu (not buffet) and they will accommodate any reasonable request. Preparation and food quality were outstanding. It is a beautiful breakfast and wine bar area, near the quaint lobby. You can also eat outside on the patio. They have an elevator, which is very nice with multiple and large luggage pieces, We were on our way to board the Celebrity Infinity, and had stayed 3 nights in a very spacious and modern room. It was Loft 6, with a balcony overlooking the hotel's courtyard. We cannot say enough about the staff, Pamela, Nadia, Gabe and Felipe. They truly went out of their way to help us when we really needed assistance. They made recommendations and reservations at several restaurants, all within walking distance of the hotel, which proved to be exceptional.

Room Tip: Loft 6 was on the second floor, and towards the back of the hotel, away from the street. Very quiet...

We enjoyed our stay at MIravida Soho very much. The location, in Palermo Soho, is close to the Subte and wonderful restaurants. Our room was well appointed, quiet and comfortable. It is the staff at Miravida that really stands out and makes this place so special. Nadia, Philipe and Fauke are tireless in sharing their time and enthusiasm for Buenos Aires and will help you make the most of your time there. We look forward to returning.

We stayed in Miravida Soho for four nights in March 2014. The hotel is located in the funky Palermo Soho district. It is surrounded by a range of excellent restaurants and bars (including Don Julio and Tegui, which I would both recommend) and is walking distance from the Subte, with convenient connections to Teatro Colon and the centre of the city.

We found all the staff extremely helpful, approachable and friendly. Our room (#6) was a good size (by BA standards) with a large bathroom and a charming balcony. All in all, we were very glad we stayed at Miravida and would easily recommend it to others.

The hotel is cute and clean. The outstanding feature of it is the attention from the staff, particularly in helping organize the visit to elegant Buenos Aires.
It is also well located. Some Argentinian friends had warned me against Palermo Soho claiming that it can be unsafe. However, I found it to be trendy and hip.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing four night stay at Miravida. We loved every minute of it. The hotel staff helped us with everything we could possibly need, including reservations, taxis, directions, and restaurant/bar/tango show/shopping recommendations. Breakfast was amazing, as was the wine. Thank you to the entire Miravida crew, especially Felipe and Christie for being so friendly as well as incredibly helpful!

Gorgeous little gem of a hotel. You can't go wrong. I only stopped short of five stars because in my Perfect Hotel you get to sleep with the windows open for lots of fresh air, which you won't do in BA in December. Apart from that, we really enjoyed it.
