We had a cab drop us off at Puerto Madero and then walked around til we found a restaurant which struck our fancy. There were so many to choose from, and we settled on Sorrento almost by chance. We were not disappointed by our choice, though. A classic high-class, white-tablecloth dining experience. Although Sorrento is an Italian restaurant, I had what was without a doubt the best grilled steak I had during the entire week we were in Buenos Aires (it was even better quality and better prepared than a steak I had a tradition parrilla a couple of nights earlier). My wife had an entree of langostinos that filled the plate and hung off both sides. The other couple we were with both had filet mignon in cabernet sauce. All dishes were excellent. Even throwing in a couple of bottles of wine, we paid a shockingly low price for an evening of refined dining.
