it's so good! and the garden area is so beautiful. we ate outside for every meal. the service can be a little slow sometimes, but i'm not sure if that's just an argentine thing (i'm from NYC where service is FAST)

The Duhau Restaurante & Vinoteca is a great hotel restaurant. The food is very good and the service is amazing. The outside sitting is best and the views of the BA sky in summer are amazing. Check out the cheese cave ask for a Mendoza wine recommendation.

A room at the Park Hyatt is out of my budget, but this was a GREAT place to spend an afternoon under the umbrellas in the courtyard grabbing some lunch, drinking some wine, and just enjoying the beautiful grounds of the palace. While you're there sure to wander around the palace lobby and gawk at the gorgeous decor in the sitting rooms and the modern art installations in the basement.
Great service, and you can sit outside for a more relaxed vibe than inside the restaurant.

Good wine list and food. A little expensive but good for any special occasion. There are plenty of other really nice local places nearby.

It is a firm tradition in Buenos Aires that you do not have to go to fancy and expensive restaurants to have a good and fairly priced meal. However, sometimes you feel like honouring a good friend or member of your family or just to have a good meal in an up class restaurant with your wife. Having been at the Gioia which is a very good restaurant situated also at the Park Hyatt hotel, I have decided to go to the Duhau Restaurant and Vinoteca, once with my wife and another time with my wife and daughter, who is a PhD in Art History and lives in Holland.

In both times we were disapointed by the food and also by the waiters attention. Not to mention that in the second time our reservation was lost. We ate, for instance, a salmon with scrambled eggs, which you can eat much better in any US deli. My wife ordered a boiled fresh salmon which was tasteless. Myself, I asked for a "special" chicken with artichokes that was as dull as possible.

For desserts, I ordered a sample of different puddings that was very good. However, my wife and daughter ordered "dulce de leche" pancaques which you could find better in any "confiteria". The prices were shamefully high. I don't mind paying high prices in a fancy restaurant if food and service are good, which is not the case of the Duhau restaurant. It is said that they have a fantastic "vinoteca".
This is probably truth but the fact is that when I go to a restaurant the important factor is the food not the beverage. Not to mention that we ordered three different wines by the glass and the prices charged were preposterous.

To summarize: unless you feel like spending a lot of money for nothing, do avoid this restaurant.
