This is my second year visiting yalikavak and I have eaten at a lot of the restaurants there. Sofram is definitely one of my favorites. It offers great Turkish food, friendly staff and nice location. All round great place and excellent value for money. As a Turkish person myself from overseas I definitely recommend it to both turkish people and foreigners as there is something on the menu for everyone.

We have eaten in Sofram for the last 3 years. It is situated in the middle of Yalikavak where you can sit and watch the world go by. There always seem to be many Turkish people eating there which is a good recommendation on it's own. The food is delicious especially the sirloin sote. Ender who works there is lovely. Always smiling and very attentive. He always recommends the most delicious dishes when you can't make your mind up. The complimentary meze when you first sit down is a lovely touch and very tasty - love the bread. Very inexpensive for the quality of food. The service is very efficient. Thoroughly recommend a try.

Eaten in this restaurant for the last 3 years - my favourite in Yalikavak. Staff are friendly, food is delicious and fairly priced. Mercimek corbasi (lentil soup) is lovely and the bread, cheese and salad they give you 'on the house' compliments it so well. kebabs are fab as is the pide (cheese pizza). if you want an open air, easy restaurant where the Turks eat look no further....

Make a point these days of trying the restaurants where I have seen a lot of Turks eating and not just Brits. Sofram is one of these restaurants and the menu contains many things that Turks enjoy.
The soups include Brain Soup, Vein Soup and Tripe Soup. The Tripe soup was delicious and I asked the waiter how the Turks usually eat it. He showed me that vinegar and garlic sauce were usually added.I followed this with an Adanya Durum Kebab and a glass of yogurt milk "Ayran". Very Turkish, very nice lunch for a hot day and great place for people watching.
