Ate here 4 times in October over a period of 4 weeks with company of bettween 2 to 5 people.Very friendly with excellent service but best of all the food food tasted fabulous, was beautifully presented and reasonably priced.
If the weather is on the cool side there is also a nice range of hand knitted shawls to borrow or purchase.

Whilst staying near Yalikavak we ate at Aubergine three times. The food was amazing and really good value for money....you need a good appetite as portions are huge! Service was really friendly, Oban and Jordan make it a great place to eat and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Would definately visit again if ever in the area!

At the time of writing we have been to Aubergine twice and will be going back again before we leave for sure. Anyone who knows Yalikavak will know all the usual suspects down this end of the village get great reviews, deservedly so - Musti's, 3 Brothers, Dede and Kosede to name a few. Aubergine is all new this season. It operates out front of the Altinkoy Hotel which used to be just an empty space. The hotel is 99% used by Turkish people so you won't see it in the travel brochures. The Aubergine restaurant setting is great, the staff and owners speak good English and the prices are actually a touch lower than many other restaurants in Yali. Last meal I had was Calimari to start and a huge Turkish chicken casserole with chips/rice/veg. It was brilliant. Calamari was too large so had to share with my partner who'd said she didn't fancy a starter. Deep fried and crisp it was gorgeous.

If you like paying over the odds and a location a bit more in the thick of the action you can of course get your fresh fish and steaks in the restaurants alongside the old harbour. If you just want a kebab there's plenty of plain cafe type places where you can do that too. But we like this end of Yali and we certainly rate Aubergine as a worthwhile newcomer to the scene.

Disappointing. And that's an understatement. Nearly an hour to serve 3 pasta dishes and they turned out to be cold. Sent back, but same dish returned after having been microwaved, and shellfish was rubbery. My 9 year old was past herself having not eaten by 10 pm despite ordering at half past eight. The best bit? They still charged us!
