“Deluxe rooms are excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2013

I've stayed at this hotel several times now, and we tried the new deluxe rooms this year - they're excellent and definitely worth the upgrade! Clean, spacious with a lovely private balcony, and a very comfortable bed.

As always, the welcome at the hotel was great. It is the staff who make the stay special, and each and every one of them contributes to the friendly atmosphere, whatever their role. It was nice to hear all about Bora and Esra's wedding plans - I hope the day is special for you both and look forward to seeing the photos. I will definitely be back next year again - fabulous holiday!

Room Tip: Pay the extra for the deluxe rooms.

Myself and my hubby are just back from a 10 night stay at the Monta Verde and very much enjoyed our stay and holiday!! :) we will definately be back. Hotel is very nice and modern (we had the deluxe rooms, def worth the extra), staff were very welcoming and helpful day or night and the food was lovely. I didn't have much for breakfast (although my husband did) and the few nights we ate there it was lovely. Although we were half board (only £30 dearer when we booked online) we tended to eat elsewhere just because we were out n about. Entertainment provided every night (quiz night, bbq night, African dancers, break dancers, bingo etc etc) although we only stayed in the hotel twice. Most of the nights were spent at Hisaronu or Olu Deniz. There is so much to see and do in and around the area, perfect location. We spent a couple of days at Fethiye (10 mins by dolmus one way) a couple of days at Olu Deniz (10 mins the other way by dolmus) (blue lagoon beach and Billy's beach bar - both great beaches) and the remaining days were Jeep Safari, 12 Island Boat Cruise and Sunset Cruise. No matter where you went, the staff and locals couldn't do enough for you and you find the same people return year after year. The hotel is in a good location, Ovacik, in the middle of the 2 big resorts so is on the quieter side however easy distance to get to both. The dolmus every 5/10 mins is a great (esp in the heat). The added bonus of the hotel was the wee puppy, Monte, that found its way into our hotel. The staff and owner have adopted it and all us holiday makers fell in love with him :) just shows you they definitely look after you at the Monte Verde. I also had a 2 n a half hour turkish bath, facial and massage for £30 at the Orange Spa within the hotel, bargin! Loved it and can't wait to return!

Room Tip: Go for a deluxe room, we were 326. No noise from main road and in a nicely decorated block.

just returned from a week at the monta verde hotel,we had a great time , we were made to feel really welcome by all the staff, they couldnt have been any better.from the owner and all his staff.
the room was a little on the small size, but little time was spent in there, it was cleaned every day, bedding and towels changed everyday,it had air conditioning at no extra cost (unusual for turkey)a tv and hair dryer, but a tiny balcony ,only room for one on..
two great pools and two bars, a good reception area with a computer and free wi fi..
plenty of sunbeds, also hammocks and double mattresses to lie on in the gardens...it is about 4km from the beach..great dolmus service ,with a stop right outside the hotel, they came every 6 or 7 minutes.
there are plenty of bars restaurants ,and shops right outside the hotel...all in all a good holiday.ythe only down side for me personally was that you couldnt pay for anything everything was put on a tab of your room number..some people may prefer this, but not me..you were just given a bill , but nothing was itemised on it...but i would certainly recommend this hotel for its friendliness,

Ok, let's try hit on the info you might need
First of all, we went with Jet 2 holidays and what a good experience it was, from booking the holiday thru their user friendly website to travelling with them
No hidden extras (take note Ryanair)..22 kg bag each and transfers along with B & B all for £322 each .. We thought it was great value
The hotel was very good, clean rooms and very friendly staff..you will have read all about the hotel on other reviews so I won't bore you by repeating it
However, one important item is the "main block" ... We asked for a quiet room and we where given a room by the quiet pool which was fine but after 3 nights we had to move as they had a problem with the drains.. This was not a problem as sh?? Happens ...Sorry !!...Anyway they moved us to the main block and the noise just reverberates all round the block, not people shouting, just the general chatter and doors shutting plus the traffic noise etc ..the block seems to amplify these noises ten fold ... Oh and at 5am the call to prayer from the mosque kicks in and the local roosters wake up to early...my suggestion regarding all this is ask for a quiet area but definitely take ear plugs just in case...you can thank me when you get back LOL
The hotel offers a Turkish massage for £30 each which is a bit steep compered to whats on offer else where, but we thought it was fantastic
The dolmas stops right outside the hotel and prices are :
To Hisonaru is 2 Lira (66p)
To Olu Deniz is 2.75 Lira (85p)
To Fethiye is 5 Lira (£1.66)
Other info :
Market day is Fethiye (tues) and Hisonaru (mon)
Price of a big beer 7 Lira (£2.33) local short is about 8L (£2.66) cocktails about 10L (£3.33) however, there are plenty of offers to check out
6 or 12 island boat trips with lunch about £10 each
Weather in September brilliant
Great cheap restaurants right by hotel offering lovely food for about £7 for 3 courses
Eg .. Local pizza bread with 3 dips, soup, chicken curry rice chips veg and choice of desert .. How good is that ?
So go enjoy and ensure you visit all the places you can...it's wonderful
Hope the above info gives you a helping start

Room Tip: Get one by quiet pool

Stayed at this hotel for 10 days in September and couldn't wait to leave . Chose the hotel because there was such good reviews on trip advisor and felt very let down .Stayed half board so would have expected a meal or welcome pack on arrival but there was nothing waited twenty minutes for the guy on reception to find the key to our room on arrival to the room we noted there was two tea bags and one sugar this was not replenished once during our stay neither were our cups changed for clean ones its very awkward trying to wash cups in a sink that you wash in .The food at the hotel was awful not much variety flies on it and always cold. most days the bread ran out when asked if we could have more we were told that there was none There was at least 15 people taken ill with the same symptoms ( UPSET STOMACHS ) so don' bother wasting your money on half board because you wont want to eat there. The positive side is the pools were nice and clean as were the rooms towels were changed every day most of the staff were very friendly the owner was at breakfast every day greeting people coming across as very nice but wasn't interested when guests had problems would never return to this hotel

Spent 10 days in September 2013 on a bed & breakfast basis with my girlfriend. Arrived at 3am. Room not available until 3pm. We were given a family room and had to move after a 12 hours so couldn't unpack. Twice have been to this area & both times no room available. Just unlucky?
If you liked eggs hard boiled then breakfast would be fine. Only breakfasted there the once as better service & choice elsewhere.
The room is basic & small but clean. Towels are changed everyday by a friendly lady who did a very good job.
Air con is free & worked well. Most charge for this facility. Balcony is tiny, no way could you sit out there as it was so very small & uninviting facing the road.
The owner is always around & new our names & was always very friendly. Reception staff also were welcoming & helpful.
The pool is very clean & well looked after however we prefer being at the beach.
Best part of the holiday was the beaches. A free shuttle bus is available on request from the hotel to Paradise Beach & Sun City Beach. Sun City being the best as the sea is clear & not so rocky as Paradise. We breakfasted at the beach as we found it suited us better that way.
We like the area which is why we had returned for a late, hot break. However we will not return to the Mona Verde.

Room Tip: Basic room is indeed basic. Try for room other than at front.
