I think if I had booked this six months in advance I would have been very disappointed. A very basic resort, which should only be used as some where to stay while you plan trips away from it. On arrival I was hit with a £25 charge for the aircon (that’s over £3 a day!!). Turkey is having a heatwave! This was a first for me. I also asked about a security box and I was told that it would cost £15 for a safe! Not a deposit for the key as is usual, but a non refundable £15!! I have read the other entries and I think you will find that the true mark of a great place to stay is not how it was if nothing goes wrong, but how they deal with you when things don’t go right! If you were prepared (like a lot of people at this place seem to be) to get up at 5am and put your towel on the best sun beds, in the best locations, you were set for the day....even if they didn’t get to their sun lounger until late morning! As stated in a previous report the bar staffs were happy to serve you if you were blond and female and about 16, or if you had given them a large tip before hand. Other than that don’t hold your breath to get served. Theft from your room seems to be common (I didn’t know about the other occasions) and the management will not do a thing to help you!! My daughters had a number of items go missing from their room. None of this is said out of malice, it’s just a true representation of our stay. The best thing about the food is that you don’t have to walk far to get away from it. The locals are interested in talking to you if they think they can get money from you. If you stand your ground and won’t cough up they look all indignant and can’t be bothered. Be wary of Tarzan (yes that’s his real name) who will try and get you to have a picture taken by his brother at this hotel. They will then try and get £8 a picture from you! The water slide is not monitored, which is fine if you are an adult but when you let your kids run around and have fun and you watch as they get struck by other people coming down the slide at warp 7, well I was surprised that there wasn’t a child badly injured. Tiles around the pool are the wrong type. I watched six people one day slip walking along towards the bar. One man hit his head so hard it sounded like a coconut being dropped, I was sure he would have fractured his skull! I’m not looking for a place that is posh, but I do expect that my kids are safe from injury and that my belongings are there when I get back from the pool and not have to put all my stuff in a carrier bag and walk up to reception to place them in the safe just so that the cleaned doesn’t steal them!! And the final nail in the coffin that got me was that we had booked Tuesday to Tuesday. A 22.00 flight which got to the hotel at 07.00 ( that was our first night out of the seven night stay) which meant that we ended up sleeping for a number of hours on the second day, but the day we left the rooms had to be vacated at 12.00, the pickup wasn’t until 14.30 but the receptionist insisted on cutting our ‘ALL INCLUSIVE’ bands off at 12.00 which meant that anything else we wanted (lunch, drinks etc) had to be paid as an extra. Read the other negative entries, they are a true reflection of this place.
