“Another lovely holiday at the Leytur.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2011

Once again a great holiday. The food was superb, the rooms were clean and comfortable and Leyla and her staff are ever helpful. The pool was beautifully clean and well kept. This is our fourth visit and it just seems to improve every time. We'll be back next year.

We stayed at Hotel Leytur in July last year and loved it so much we went back in May 2011, the rooms are well decorated and comfy and spotless clean. All the staff at the hotel are really friendly and cant do enough for you,Leyla the owner is lovely and makes you feel very welcome.Hasan the barman is the best barman in Turkey even if he is a bit cheeky but we love him.(really)Myself and Steve have and would recommend Hotel Leytur to anyone that wants a relaxing holiday perfect location to visit Fethiye,Hisaronu and the amazing Olu Deniz all just a 10 minute dolmus ride away from the hotel.Cant wait to go back next year.

I stayed at Hotel Laytur in May for my hen week with six other family members and friends, I was not aware of where we were going on the hen week untill a week prior to traveling! a member of my family was recommended Laytur and she book on this friends word. it was the best value for money we had spent in a very long time the location is perfect for either a quick trip in to Hisaronu or oludeniz if a little more city life is required its only a short ride in to Fethiye .
I am a big believer in thing are what you make of them however if things are helped along by the excellent facilities and heart warming welcomes its a great start.
after only a day in the hotel we felt as though we had known the staff a lifetime.
we had a superb start to our holiday weather wise a member of our party had visited this area of turkey before and so knew some good places to visit! the barperson at our hotel recomended a local taxi driver who looked after our party throughout the week taking us to some excellent restaurants and provided an excellent service, as a party we has decided my hen night would be on the tuesday of the trip we when out for a meal and a few drinks then returned back to the hotel a very plesent evening was had but sadly not as memroble as i would have liked! the next day we decided to try again but the weather turned on us we had done well good weather early may but it started to rain ! it was almost impossible to leave the hotel. the hotel manager, barperson & staff ralled around and open fire was built to keep everyone warm while we enjoyed a superb meal in the hotel restaurant and a aray of music was played for everyone to enjoy! it was superb! all their efforts had made our week. from start to finnish this hotel and its surroundings were one of the best places i have visited. because of this i am returning to the hotel with my new husband!

Leytur is now official reopened for 2011.
During the early part of May I called in to see how everyone was and they were all busy, cleaning, painting and generally getting ready for the first guests of the season.
There was just as much attention being paid to the general care of the hotel for the few rooms that were staying as they would for when the hotel is fully booked.
Just shows how proud the owner, Leyla, is of the hotel and how much pleasure she gets when her guests have enjoyed their holiday.
It is all about the guests, just as it should be everywhere but not always the case

We decided to book a late deal at this hotel after reading the positive reviews. After an evening flight we arrived at the hotel at 2am and were greeted by Layla and her son. We paid £50 for air con (a must in August) and a safety deposit box and then headed up to our newly refurbished room.

The following morning we were greeted to lovely views of the big pool and the surrounding hills. The buffet breakfast consisted of a choice of water melon, cucumber, boiled eggs, bread, butter, jams, fruit juices etc. We learned to breakfast early as the hotel was busy and they ran out of supplies on a few occasions. We also noticed that this happened on the Turkish buffet nights so get in early or lose out. The staff seemed friendly, the rooms were cleaned to a high standard and the food was good. There were a few negative points about the Leytur: They don't want guests bringing in food/water. Some of the other reviewers are right to say that there's pressure to spend at the hotel and we also noticed that the bar tab had extras added which weren't ours. If you're on a budget, as we were, being ripped off is a great incentive to avoid eating in the hotel. Added to this, we were unlucky enough to have THE scariest holiday rep. We got told off for not ordering enough trips. She even demanded to know why we were having an evening walk. These were only minor grumbles and they didn't spoil the holiday.

Ovacik is on the main road between Fethiye (traditional Turkish town) and Hisaronu which has lots of bars, shops and restaurants. The hotel was in a good location - very close to the main road and handy for the dolmus stops. These ran every 10mins until late and were a really cheap way of getting around. Try the fish market in Fethiye where they'll cook your chosen fish for you. Olu Deniz (Sugar beach club) was beautiful and worth the walk in hot weather. The Dalyan boat trip to Turtle beach and the mud baths was great fun. Kayakoy (the ghost town) was unique and a highlight of the holiday.

So if you want vfm and a good, quiet location try the Leytur.

I went back to Hotel Leytur in July 2010 for the first time with my boyfriend, but i had been 4 times before with my family. Brilliant holiday for couples and familys.
My boyfriend and me arrived at Leytur and walked down to Hisaranu, we could of took the local bus (the dolmus) which run really frequenty and are very cheap, but decided to take the walk which took about 30 mins, lost of restaurants and shops along the way, that many we didnt get to try them all sadly!!

If your looking for a more traditional Turkish holiday, we recommend Fethiye, which has a rang of shops, restaurants, a beautiful harbour, and a fish market (highly recomended) and a general market.

A range of activities are available from Olu Deniz, Fethiye and Hisaranu including: Turkish baths & spas, Jeep safaris and many other activities.

The hotel is situated on a hill so you get a nice breeze which is much needed and is also very quiet and peaceful. the owner Layla and her husband Sucre are very welcoming and everybody is treated more like friends than customers, Laylas son also works at the bar area along with other friendly bar man who speak very good english.

The maids have got to be the most lovely polite people we have ever met and the cleanliness of the hotel meets a very high standard! The rooms get cleaned, mopped and fresh towels daily.

The swimming pool has got to be the cleanest ive ever been in! - Not a dead bug or wasp in sight!!

The food at Leytur is suberb, cooked fresh and presented lovely, traditional Turkish breakfast is served along with tea and coffee.

We have met alot of great friends at Leytur are kept in touch with, and every year it gets better. We will hopefully be returning this year and we know of people who have already booked for July/August 2011 !!

Cant wait to return!!

ethiyewe stayed here for one week and when we got there we looked at the room and said "well we did book a basic room but it was clear and tidy". the rooms were cleaned every day and the staff were great. the food was good and lots of it ( am a big chap). but what made this holiday for us was the staff and the friendly atmosphere. it was like we had known the whole guest list for years and some of these people do come to this hotel year after year. now the wife and i like to get out and about and the local bus stop is a couple of hundred feeet from the front door so we were happy. 5mins and your in hisaronu nice town loads of shops and pubs and so on. 5 mins down the road again is olu deniz. you must go there the sea and the blue lagoon to die for and once more loads of pus shop and all. you will not run out of things to do in olu deniz thats why were going back this year so we can do all the things we missed out on last year. yes and fethiye is the other way by bus big city, huge market and a must day out or two as it has so much to see.
