My fiance and I recently stayed at the Oyster in Oludeniz for a week. It was a wonderful place very close to the beach. The rooms were very nice and the staff friendly and helpful. There is a restaurant on the property that has good food for lunch and dinner. There is also an excellent pool on the property shaded by olive trees. A very good breakfast comes with your stay. The water at Oludeniz beach is beautiful. The rest of the town does not have much to offer but you are close to other sites of interest. Most of the restaurants in town cater to the significant number of British tourists so the food isn't quite as traditional as we had at several places in Istanbul, which isn't to say that it is bad.

We have just returned from a chill out week at the lovely Oyster Residence. It is a well laid out boutique hotel, the accommodation blocks are built in an old Mediterranean manor style, the rooms have stripped wooden floors and furniture, shutters with lace curtains and either Juliet balconies or courtyards. The quality of fixtures is high. The pool is large and there are plenty of sun beds and loungers, and the habit of reserving beds with towels was rare. The seafront location means you can wander straight from the pool for a stroll on the beach. The outdoor restaurant faces the sea and you can eat breakfast while watching the Para gliders land. Breakfast was good with cereal, fruit and an open kitchen to cook bacon and eggs to order.
The hotel has an exclusive feel; the clientele is mostly middle aged couples.
Negatives - Location. The hotel is surrounded by open air bars and restaurants and is at the mercy of the noise from them. One of the noisiest is right next door; we didn’t eat at the hotel in the evening as it was difficult to enjoy a romantic meal with a band playing Guns & Roses 15 metres away. The noise continued most nights until past 2am, even with windows closed and A/C on it was still audible, I reverted to earplugs most nights. Unfortunately the bins are located behind the hotel so a dustcart came clanging around several mornings at about 4 am, and there is also a motorcycle park at the back of the hotel. Finally the stripped wooden floors are a lovely feature but the sound proofing between floors is ineffective to cancel out the noise of the guests above walking around their bedrooms with shoes on late at night. We live in a quiet place so maybe the noise issues won’t bother other people. We had lunch twice, the first time we wanted a Caesar Salad, unfortunately the chef had never heard of it, strange for an award winning hotel? However we explained the recipe to the waiter and to their credit the catering team rustled something similar up give or take a few ingredients. The next time we fancied a pizza, unfortunately that was off as the machine had broken down. We settled for a salad and chicken wrap which took 40 minutes. One final niggle - on departure day we wanted to shower before the journey home. We were offered a room for £20, - just to use the shower for 15 minutes. The other alternative suggested by the reception staff – and not what I would expect from a hotel of this standard, was to use the pool shower which I did out of principal. I would hope the hotel takes note of this comment and installs a small courtesy shower cubicle somewhere in the grounds of the hotel.
In summary a lovely hotel with good atmosphere and facilities, unfortunately the noise from the surroundings spoil the ambiance it is trying to create.

Room Tip: If you’re susceptible to noise at night, opt for a room which is not on the end of the buildings because the double aspect patio doors will make it noisier.

If you are looking for a hotel right on the beachfront, with surrounding bars,
restaurants and music, then this is the place for you.
The staff and hotel itself cannot be faulted - they all worked their socks off to keep us happy. The rooms were spacious and kept spotlessly clean. There is a very attractive pool area with olive trees providing shade and lots of hammocks and day beds to lounge in. It was so peaceful just lying back and watching the paragliders soaring overhead.
We enjoyed the daily breakfast but only had one evening meal in the hotel, preferring to try the other restaurants around for variety.(Jade and Harry's Bar are very good.)
My one reservation is that it was very hard to get to sleep before around midnight, due to loud music coming from the surrounding bars (of which there are many!!) This is not really the fault of the hotel, I realise, but it did make for unrelaxing evenings. If you stay out late at night and party then it wouldn't be a problem. We, on the other hand, prefer to go to bed slightly earlier, so it was a distraction, which only a cocktail, earplugs and sleeping tablet made endurable for me personally.

I'm dubious when it comes to reading others reviews as peoples thoughts are their own and often ill disagree... Well when it came to reading reviews on Oyster and hoping they wouldn't be wrong, i was pleasantly surprised! By far, the most enjoyable stay we have had, probably, I'd say ever. The staff made it, the location was fantastic and the weather, food, etc. couldn't have been better. If your after Turkeys No.1 Boutique Hotel (officially too!) then book here. We will definitely be going back to see our friends Muatafa, Mohammed and all the guys. Chris & Gemma.

The Oyster residence is a lovely 'shabby chic' boutique hotel squeezed into the main seafront line of properties right on the bay at Olu Deniz. The location is right in the middle of things but the hotel appears almost like a secret garden amoungst the busy bay front. It has an extremely intimate feel with the rooms spread around a nice pool. It is not a large hotel and feels almost as if you are staying at a friends villa. The owner and staff are very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The resturant is very nice and the views out over the bay while having a leisurly breakfast were great. I certainly recomend this hotel and will be returning.

Room Tip: Overlooking the pool rooms are great
