“You get what you pay for”
Reviewed June 25, 2011

Our party of 5 including 6yo grandaughter and 75yo mother have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Pink Palace. If you want a spotlessly clean all inclusive hotel in a prime location at a bargain price then you cant go wrong. Ok, as previously mentioned you do seem to get chicken most days, but the chefs always give it a different twist, and there is also other food and lots of salad etc.
I agree that the rooms can be noisy with people slamming doors at all hours, but at the end of the day it is a 24 hour holiday resort.
The hotel is situated at the top of the hill overlooking Olu Deniz, which is just a 5 minute Dolmus ride. And the lively town centre of Hisoronu is a 5 minute walk in the other direction. Here you will find some fantastic restaurants if you fancy a break from the hotel. Personally i recommend The Lemon Tree, Rumbletums and most definately Angels which is just a short walk from the top of town.
One thing i will strongly advise is to take a trip, or two, to Kayakov ( THE GHOST TOWN). This is such an eerie place, especially at night. If you do go there try and stop at Antiks restaurant, we went 3 times. Amazing food, great pancakes, and wonderful hospitality from Muntu and his staff.
Another must is the drag show THE TALK OF THE TOWN, havnt laughed so much in years.
Should you decide to do any trips i would recommend using Alibaba. They are based in main street, we have used them several times and had great service at very cheap prices.
If anyone needs any further information please dont hesitate to ask.

I'v just com back from a great cheap 2 week holiday at the Pink Palace and i will give my honest opinion. Let's start with the possitives:
Location is excellent, whilst it is on a busy road it isn't really noticeable, and it's brilliant for getting around all the surrounding resorts and dolmush stops right outside.
The staff are excelent and always cheery and happy to help, anyone who says differrently should question themselves and there own manners etc, because from what i experienced these people are the hotels greatest asset.
The pool and bar areas were always kept clean and although it was AI there was never too much queing fof food or drink.
Talking of fod and drink, it has been mentioned on numerous occassions about the chicken and yes this is true but i can honestly say i really enjoyed the food, huge credt to the kitchen staff to come up with good food for so little price and lets be honest your getting AI for little more than bed and breakfast prices.
However there was a couple of things that brought it down:
The rooms are small, which i didn't really mind but thebathroom could have been a bit bigger, the floor was always wet following a shower and was very slippy, ours was always very dark. They were always cleaned every day though, contrary to what others have said.
My biggest problem with hotel though is that the walls are paper thin and you can here everything, this is made worse when you get a couple of selfish idiots like we did next door in room 114, who woule get totally wasted at bar then come in at all hours arguing and shouting most nights, then have the audacity to shout at kids for playing table tennis during the day when they wanted to sleep (thank you for ruining our holiday).
All in all i had a great time though and if it wasn't for the noise issues i would definately score it higher, maybe we were just unlucky with our unfortunate neighbours.
If your going out, go wlth an open mind and have fun, as i'v already said it is fabulous value for money but just remember it's not 5 star and you will have to take that into account and be prepared to make compromises.

Overall the hotel was excellent value for money, the food was good, not much variety but enjoyable. The so called All Inclusive bar only included local Vodka, Gin, Raki, Beer, red & white wine. Turkish cola yuk!! Any imported spirit was 10 TL. The bar shuts a 11pm on the dot. Not much entertainment, quiz night, bingo, bbq night and film night. Nesh and Bush the bar staff are really nice. Excellent shuttle bus to St Nicholas Beach worth a visit, we even see turtles whilst on a pedalo. 6 TL to hire a sunbed and parasol on the beach, 15 TL to hire a pedalo. The staff at St Nicholas Beach resaturant were friendly and made us laugh. Hisaronu town is lively and has excellent clubs and bars. We hired a boat for 13 of us from a shop in Hisaronu town for £12each including lunch, which was superb. If you order an ice cream on the boat, the ice cream van arrives by speedboat. Water sports availble on boat from 20 TL which is about £8. Turkish bath on your first day is recommended, really relaxing. Other than the 4 days of crap weather a good time was had by all 13 of us.

The hotel rooms were very small and very noisy and the beds were uncomfortable. If your larger than a size 12 you will have difficluty in the shower. But how could we complain when we only paid £329 for a week AI.

Considering we paid very little for an all inclusive holiday here it really is lovely. A great base for having a look around, a bus ride into Fetyia and a walk along the harbour is a must. The boat rides available are very cheap but like everywhere the drinks are expensive, they also charge 5 to 8 lira when on the islands to explore the most interesting parts! Oh and important if you go on these trips where good footwear and take spare shorts lol! My flip flops where useless and broke on butterfly bay and you can guess what happened to my partner.
The hotel itself was very friendly the staff are very hard working, there was always a great selection of food probably the best i've seen for a vegetarian, however meateaters must like chicken there is alot of it. Always fresh and everything spotless.
The room we had was like a loft but had character and free aircon, the balcony was small and uninviting.
A little annoying niggle is if you want water you must either fill a cup or buy a bottle for 2 lira you cant fill any bottle up. For an all inclusive I would expect water available to take anywhere.
All in all this is a good hotel for a bargain it exceded expectations, we would recommend to anyone on a cheap and cheerful.

just returned from 2 weeks at the Pink palace and overall had a relaxing time but having stayed at many 3* hotels in Turkey this was the worse.
firstly the Hotel is in an amazing setting with breathtaking views of mountains spoilt by the noise of the main road when laying around pool.sunbeds were easy to get befor 9am but were tatty and having no matresses made for an uncomfortable experience! bought a cheap lilo to cure this but a pain to keep lugging it up and down 4 flights of stairs and begining and end of day.
first room ok with torn bedspread and 2 single sheets covering bed.we Had to move due to neighbours rowing and swearing at full scream for two nights running! asked to move and manager offered us a suite which was really nice .Take ear plugs as the walls are paper thin and all doors have to be slammed to shut and this noise goes on all night.
maid service is terrible, have never stayed in Turkey and just had sheets and towels dumped on bed every 3 days! last thing i want is to be making up a bed after a late night, also the maids for some reason were doing the rooms in our block at 4-6pm are very loud and shouty and forget having a siesta or getting ready for evening without doing so around maid service!
no toilets in complex have doors that lock!
Food was poor overall and we are not fussy eaters but chicken situation is rediculous! no fish offered entire 2 weeks and you have to eat as soon as restarant opens or everything runs out.spent alot on eating out.
If you take the free bus to St.nickolas bay makes for a super relaxing day but take cash for sunbed hire and beach bar which is expensive.but a beautiful place.
people say you get what you pay for, well ive payed less and got alot more! at lots of 3*hotels in Turkey.
This hotel does make a fairly good base for exploring the area but wouldnt return!

I just got back from the pink palace yesterday and thought I'd share my experience. I checked on trip advisor before booking the hotel and none of the negative comments put me off - To be honest nothing was going to as we got such a good deal. Yes there is chicken every night but this is probably to cater to the fussier eaters as I'm sure if it was all local food people would still complain.

Hotel - The hotel accomodation was split into 3 blocks joined by steps - There was a lot of older people here which I thought this would be a problem for but obviously not. The pool area has got anti-slip running around it, older posts have commented on how slippery it was. Staff were always working away, it seemed like the same staff were there 24/7, the service was very good.

Room - We were given a room overlooking the pool and restaurant, It was ok sized with a double and two singles. We used the single beds to put our stuff on as round the double was tight. There was a fridge, tv, air con, hairdryer, cupboards, two small verandas with chairs. There was extra blankets provided which we used but it wasnt cold. Our only issue was on the nights we went to bed early to get up early for trips we had to wait for everyone for the bar/restaurant to go to bed as it was loud. Towels were changed every 3 days or when we left them on the floor. Bathroom was small but still usable, shower head would not stay up as the attachment was broken but we found a way to keep it up.

Food - Breakfast was served 7-10am, late breakfast til 11am, lunch 12.30-2pm, snacks 2-4pm, cake hour 5-6pm then dinner 7-9/10pm. There was always something to eat and as other posters have said it was fairly repetative. This did not bother us as we always food something to our liking. Breakfast was boiled, scrambled or made into fresh omelettes however you liked, sauages, hot bread roll things with meat in them, cereals, preserves, meat, cheeses, toast, tea etc. Lunch and dinner were pretty similar - Chicken and another main option, rice, chips, veg, a big salad bar selection, bread and cakes for dessert. Other posters have complained about the birds at the bread - The restaurant area was open and this was not a problem unless people didn't cover the bread back up and the birds could get to it.

Location - When we arrived we were taken along the back streets, maybe to show us the state of the road, who knows. We thought we were in the middle of know where but discovered we were only a short walk into the main town which was full of shops, bars, restaurants and things to do. We were on the top of the hill which was about a 15 min walk down, probably a 10hr walk back up as it was so steep but we always took the dolomus which was 2.75TL each. This takes you down to the beach in Olu Deniz which has more shops, bars etc. The beach was stretch along the whole bay and they charge you to use the sun loungers here, but it is nice sitting watching all the paragliders.

All in all we had a great time - We are not bothered by having chicken everynight or AI ending at 11, we had stuff to do most days so were off to bed regardless. It is a 3 star hotel in another country so don't have too high expectations and you'll love it. We got a fantastic deal so it would have taken a lot to give us something to moan about.
