This was my first time at this Hotel it was our friends second time at the Hotel. We enjoyed the Hotel very much. The food was fresh and plenty of choice staff were very helpfull and nothing was too much trouble. George and his staff was very motivated and polite. Pool was lovely and very clean and our room was very clean and spacious. Well done Blue Lagoon keep up the good work. And yes I will return.

We were return visitors to the Blue Lagoon this year and were very disappointed with the standard of service compared to our previous visit. Firstly we were asked to pay £40 for our air conditioning for the two week stay. We had booked with Monarch/Cosmos and it was free in 2012. The receptionist (young male) told me that it was only free for Thomas Cook customers. We paid up as we had to admit we had took it for granted that it would be free again. We saw our Rep the following morning and she told us that it was included and promptly got our money back from a more senior receptionist who said we shouldn't have been charged. So beware Monarch/Cosmos travellers and don't pay for it!!

The catering service was appalling when George wasn't on duty. We waited 25 minutes one day before the head waiter approached us to take our order. Another day we gave up and got two coffees and a bag of crisps from the bar. The restaurant staff speak little English and are very miserable, however they do know the word "finished" and they regularly tried to take your plates before you had finished your breakfast!! They often forget condiments, plates etc at lunchtime and when you requested salt and pepper they had no clue what you wanted! Consequently, we did not stay for the evening meal at all.

On the otherhand the bar is very efficiently run by Mustafa and his team. All the guys are friendly and speak enough English to have a chat.
The cleaners are pleasant ladies and are busy all day long. Our room was reasonably clean, apart from the spare bed which was badly stained on the hardboard base. The towels are changed daily and the beds frequently.
The pool staff do a great job and I think the pool is the best thing about this hotel.
On the whole this is a nice hotel and had it been our first visit I would possibly have given a higher rating. The standard, however, especially with the waiting staff, was nowhere near that of 2012. We will not be returning for this reason.

Room Tip: All pretty similar. The ones looking over the pool have the morning sun. I wouldn't upgrade to a...

Just had two fab weeks at this hotel, the staff are all fantastic even the managers who greeted us when we arrived. The rooms are cleaned on a daily bases by cleaners who work hard day in day out.The bar staff are quick to know what your round is well done mustafa hope your working tonight hahaha. The food was great you have plenty to choose from each day for breakfast lunch and evening meal, and thank you to George the restaurant manager who helps make people feel very welcome.
Please take no notice of bad reviews for this hotel as we have found them all to be lies.
Look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Another fantastic holiday at the Blue Lagoon Hotel in Olu Deniz, its the second time that we have been there and it just gets better, all of the rooms have been upgraded they have all been decorated and all the rooms have had wet rooms installed.
The team that works there lead by the wonderful George Gungor were fantastic they were welcoming to all guests old and new.The value for money for the meals was excellent where else can you get a three course meal for £8 the only fault i would make with the food is that there is far too much.but the choice is endless and the catering team cannot do enough for you. i have read reports that the rooms are not up to scratch and i suppose you cannot please everyone, but in my opinion if you want an excellent holiday with nice people, good food and in such a lovely part of Turkey then This hotel is the one for you, myself and my wife came back this morning after spending 2 weeks in the sunshine and cannot wait to go again next year.

Room Tip: This hotel does have quiet rooms and upgrades are available if need be, the management will move you...

We have just had a lovely week in the Blue Lagoon hotel, the bad reviews on this site are very unfair people can be so picky, the hotel rooms are small but who needs a big room when your in a perfect location with so much to see and do in the area. Breakfast had plenty of choice and the evening meals are very good and excellent value for money.

Room Tip: not room 120 no view at all, brick wall!!

We went to the blue lagoon 22/6/13 my hubbie and I went with another couple ,and when we arrived it was around 1am and all we wanted was a nice cold beer after sitting on a plane for 4 hrs and another 2hrs on the bus that's all you really want ,we saw a member of staff and asked was it possible to order a drink he said yes no problem so we had a couple more and then went to bed.we found it really clean every where the rooms were spotless and the showers are brill, the food choice we found really good as my sister in law and I could live on the salads where as the men had a taste of everything, the Turkish night on Thursday was excellent don't be shy join in we had fun,we went for a Turkish bath at the turquoise hotel that was excellent for £25 each we paid in English money that's the other good thing about turkey you can use £ if you don't want to have a lot of Turkish lira.so for us well done George and the team for making our holiday so nice.

Room Tip: 154 pool view

it was our first time in olu deniz and we wasn't disappointed. If your looking for a luxury hotel then don't stay here but if your looking for a nice base then its perfect. The rooms were basic but the bed was comfy, the shower was good and the room was cleaned on a daily basis, as we booked with Thomas Cook the air conditioning was free. The pool is a good size considering the hotel is small, and we always managed to get sunbeds. What sells this hotel and the reason it has so much repeat business is due to the staff who were all really friendly, especially George the restaurant manager, Sulleyman, Billal and Mustafa, these three in particular make such a big deal out of everybody and nothing is too much, they are always thee for you and always want to have a chat, it's great. we never once felt ripped off by them they were nice genuine people who just liked talking to us and went out of their way to do so. The staff are absolutely brilliant I don't think you could find a hotel with better guys, I can't emphasize it enough just how brilliant they are!
As in other reviews all drinks and food that you order from the bar are added to your room, we never found this to be an issue, you don't have to pay it at the end of your holiday we just payed for our room every morning and that way we knew how much we had spent.
we went bed and breakfast, the breakfast is fine, it's not a full english but then, we didn't go there expecting that, and they run a Turkish night once a week and it is brilliant entertainment, for not a lot of money, it's a must if you stay at this hotel, the food is great too, they really do go all out for it.
I would recommend b&b as there is some brilliant restaurants out and about, not least the cafe bistro on the corner where the hotel is, we must have walked past 10 times before we tried it and it was our best meal in Turkey
All in all we had a great holiday here and would definitely go back to Olu deniz and wouldn't think twice about where to stay...

Great hotel, great guys that work there, and a lovely place, had an amazing time, and would love to go back and see them all again!!
