I visited this hotel last september for two weeks with my family and family friends, 4 of which were teenagers. The location is perfect situated in the mountains a short 5/10 walk away from the small town and beaches. The staff are so friendly and helpful, they really make you feel welcome and build up a good friendship, every day they make up games to play and always have a couple of games of water polo which gets everyone involved. They have little night entertainment but do have weekly bingo night and turkish night which are just a bit of fun, they have half price drinks and cocktails which make it very cheap to drink there. During the day there is a chef by the side of the bar, who will cook you anything from jacket potatos, pizza, burgers, omlettes etc def try the bacon and cheese toastie. Murat was a very good laugh really made the holiday for us. The girls there are great to, learning your name and having a chat with you. Yes the pool is small but was just right for this small family hotel, could be more sunbeds though!! Alot of stray cats in Olu Deniz but this did not bother me, they miow alot at night which i heard some people complain about but did not affect me.
Olu Deniz and the area around itself is amazing I honestly did not want to leave there was so much to do, things not to miss are:
Turkish baths - definatly worth going and very reasonably priced, (be aware massages are done by men)
Boat trips - worked out to cost around £7 each for a whole days trip and lunch included which was very nice, take you to various little attractions, and beaches.
Paragliding - if your not scared of heights this is an AMAZING experience that you have to do, The drive up the steep mountain was the bit to bite your lip about (actually thought i wasn't going to make it), not the jump off a 6,500ft mountain, the view is just amazing and suprisingly very relaxing.
Saklikent Gorge - we thought we were catching a one way bus there but turned out we had booked a tour bus, but was worth it in the end, took us to a couple of good places as well as a lovely and cheap resturant. The gorge was beautiful, freezing cold water which you have to walk through to get there, slighty irratating young boys splashing the water on you, trying to hold your hand across and taking pictures, but just a bit of fun, also the water rafting was very fun beautful views and mini mud bath at the end. One of the best days out I had.
Blue Lagoon: The lagoon is not free to go to, but it is very cheap and worth a few visits but beware it gets very very busy and you have to pay for sunbeds (they are very expensive), beach is made up of stones not sand, but the water is crystal clear. Try to visit sugar beach club which has its own private sandy beach, massage tent, bar serving very nice food, you can also rent out canoes and pedalos cheaply, they also have a playground for children and a volleyball net.
Fethiye market: about 20 minute bus drive, worth going to grab a few bargains, shisha pipes, turkish delight, turkish tea and baklava, with lots of free samples! always barter prices, managed to get things down from 20 lira to only 5 lire.

Rooms: Green and orange theme to it which I found odd but was ok over all, kept clean every day plently of hot water, could have done with a bigger mirror but made do, maids came almost every day, extras like petals and towel sculptures left on the beds, was a nice touch.
Food: We went B&B at this hotel i'm very glad we did, the selection of food for all-inclusive diners had very little choice as we ate there one night, very likely it was last nights left overs!! Breakfast was ok, I am quite a fussy eater when it comes to breakfast so didnt bother most days but rest of my family enjoyed it, there was a selection of boiled eggs, olives, yogurts, toast, cereal and squashes and hot drinks. There are some wonderful restaurants to choose from out side of the hotel we ate mostly in Olu deniz, but some nights ventured to near by town Hisaronu, which is a bit more commercial and 'British' but can still find some lovely places to eat, also Fethiye which is a bit further away but has some good restaurants especially for fresh fish. Belcekiz restaurant is a def to try if you want a change from turkish food, they offer Thai, Indian and Italian, and I have to say the service, cleanliness and presentation of the food is amazing not to mention the taste, better than alot of food I have eaten in England (try the ravioli!!) and is reasonably priced. Keep in mind that the resturants in the town centre are the most expensive. Most restaurants here have the biggest menus you have seen, they try to fit every dish possible on, so always find something to eat.

Nightlife: It's obviously not known for having wild night-life but it's not completely dead either, try buzz beach bar for a few cocktails and a nice view, there is a bar on the beach where you can sit on bean bags and have shisha and there are waiters who come round to serve you. There is a small club on the sea front, cant remember what it was called but had a good few nights in there, have foam partys etc. Bit more night-life when you go up to Hisaronu with places like Time-out and Zombie.

Overall I had the best holiday and would definatly go back some time soon.

ok, so turky iv been twice and yes some places are lovely. my boyfriend and i piad £1200 for our weeks holiday in the majestic hotel and had a suite room which consisted of a standard room with a plastic table ad chairs. our room was at the front of the hotel and was so noisey at night. i found the staff friendly but were over worked as it was very busy we paid for all inclucive. and had very young members working at the hotel surving us drinks. which would tend to run out by mid day. the food was very basic and not pleasing at all both me and my partner had upset stomachs. the beach was the worst couldnt even go on there it was filthy and smelt. the pool was nice and were we spent most of our holiday. we went on lots of excersions as we needed to get away from the hotel. and choose to eat out as food was always the same and self survice. reminded me of a school canteen. we booked with thomas cook and we dissopointed when we were not even sat together on the plane for starters and for what we paid we were highly annoyed. we had complained to thomas cook and the reception at the hotal which also made us pay for an extra night even though our booking said 7 nights as our flight was not till 3am. but we were made to leave and keep all our belongings packed in a room for the whole day and night, had no were to shower and dress or even relax. highly not reccomended.

This is for Fatma and co. at the Hotel Majestic. I was quite apprehensive about coming to your hotel after reading some of the terrible reviews. However, I wonder if they were at the same Majestic as we were as we had both a shower and a (small) balcony. Our room was cleaned daily and the maids folded our towels into the most intricate shapes of swans and hearts and even scattered petals on the bed. The television (not that you go on holiday to watch TV) had a news channel in English and was perfectly adequate. The breakfast was typically Turkish (for the morons who think you ll get a full English for the price the Majestic are charging - get a life!) Everyone was friendly and helpful. I heard some loud music one night but that didnt come from the hotel itself but from outside and it didnt go on too long.

The hotel setting is very good, a nice walk to the beach though I d advise you visit the Lagoon as well as the resort itself which (to my mind) was just too English with its offers of "roast beef" , Tesco sausages etc. The weather (2nd week in October) was wonderful, really warm, which was an added bonus as I hadnt expected it to be in the high 80 s - low 90 s at that time of year - but it was! Thank you, Fatma and co - we enjoyed every minute of our holiday with you. Mary Clark

My wife and I stayed at the Majestic hotel with friends in early October. We found that the hotel was generally very good. Its location is about ten minutes walk from the main sea front promenade in Oludeniz. It is also close to all the bars and restaurants but far enough away to allow you to get a good nights sleep.
The rooms were clean and comfortable but not luxurious. Probably typical for this part of the world. The cleaners worked very hard and our room was kept spotless throughout our stay. The towels and bedding were changed daily. The bathroom was good with a shower cubicle, wash basin and a toilet. This was also kept spolessly clean throughout or stay.
We were only staying bed and breakfast at the hotel but the breakfasts were fine. It was a typical Turkish breakfast of feta cheese, tomatoes, olives, boiled eggs and bread. The majority of guests were British so there was also cereals, toast, fruit juice and tea and coffee to cater for us. There was always plenty to eat at breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful.
There were plenty of sunbeds around the pool which was of a good size. I am not sure how it would cater with a full hotel in peak season but it was more than adequate for the time of year that we visited. The bar was located around the pool area and was fine. The prices were comparable with the other bars and restaurants in the area.
I would definately recommend Oludeniz as a resort and describe it as suitable for all whether it be families with children, couples or groups. I would also recommend the Majestic hotel as we had a very enjoyable stay there.

Do not book with Thomas Cook - they completely messed up our booking and we had a huge battle to sort things out - they refused to correct our booking, even though they made a huge error in the booking - outrageous and infuriating behaviour from such a huge operator!!!!!

The Majestic hotel- we stayed at the Majestic in October 2009, it wasn't our first choice, but it was fine. We arrived at 4am and shown to our room by the friendly reception staff. The room was noisy and backed on to a noisy road which kept us awake what was left of the night. We spoke to reception staff they next day and they happily moved us to a different room overlooking the pool. This was fine and we had a nice holiday from day 2 onwards.

Majestic is only a 5 minute walk to the beach, a short walk to the nightlife and restaurants - a good distance away as it was nice and quiet at our hotel, but would have been too noisy in the main area.

Yes the breakfast is basic, but it was fine - cereal and toast - normal breakfast!! If you want to pay for a full english then you can do so at numerous restaurants in town.

The rooms are basic but clean - beds, TV (ours had 3 english speaking channels - bbc news and american sitcom channel), balconies were ok - we had 2 as our room was on the end of the block, get a room overlooking the pool - very quiet at night time.

We always had hot water which was great.

The pool and surrounding area is small, but adequate for a dip at the end of the day on the way back from the beach.

Olu Deniz is quite a small town, not a whole lot to do except enjoy the beach, the sun and eating out at night. The restaurants are hit and miss - some very good, some very bad, and also quite expensive - lots of Brits around to part with the cash!!

Overall the hotel is good value (i.e. cheap and cheerful). It is in an excellent location for the beach and eating out at night.

Returned to this hotel many times. This time for end of season .
This hotel is basic turkish hotel . Rooms are clean and comfortable . Food is good i have never had bad meal here. Breakfast is turkish breakfast (after all you are in turkey). Please remember Turkey isn't in EU (Thank goodness) it will loose all its natural culture. Standards are different from other countries.
Staff are great very helpful. Please treat them with respect, some of them have little english but are willing to try and understand and help. There is no need to be rude or treat them like servants.
as it was end of season some staff have already left so the rest of the staff are doing work of 2/3 people.
If you want 4/5 star book into more expensive hotel don't expect more for your money.
Well done to all the staff at the Majestic you are great.

Stayed at the majestic with best mate for 1 week,B&B.The hotel is nicely situated for beach and night life. The breakfasts were very repetative and if you like hard boiled eggs and bitter coffee you'll be fine.A 3star rating is a misrepresentation. We had no shower door,a very old TV with 10 channels (all in Turkish) towels that were once white like sandpaper, and sheets that were grey. The swimming pool is too small and rooms need updating. The staff made up for the state of the hotel, friendly and helpful and determined to do all they can.If basic is what you want that is what you get but dont be fooled by ratings, one star is generous.
