“The good the bad and the ugly”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

Our second year at the Majestic, last year fantastic; this year the management change meant that there was a culture allowed to develop by customers. At 7.30am all sun beds were taken, as some staff were putting towels out for favourite customers; despite a sign stating no towels before 7.45; this was not enforced and with children we needed to be near the pool with umbrella's. The rooms ok for the price, the bar staff great but again there was a hierarchy created for customers who were female and travelling without partners or had been back year after year and they got priority treatment. The breakfast declined over the two weeks and the choice diminished with it; e.g. half platters of fruit, cucumber, cheese, with two hot dishes only. The police were called twice for disturbances and sleep became difficult. Guests did complain but were labelled as trouble makers by the management and owners so we kept quiet.

We stayed at the majestic for a week (19th-26th July) but wish we'd booked two!
We were a young couple with a 3 year old child looking for a late summer holiday on a budget. The Majestic was perfect for us. The room was small, but we didn't need anything more than a base, and very well kept by the hotels cleaners. The facilities, e.g. pool, bar, dining area, park are more than acceptable and the staff worked very hard to keep clean and tidy. The staff were very polite, friendly and always endeavoured to meet the guests needs. The location was fantastic and is only a 5 minute walk to the main strip/sea front where there's an abundance of nice bars, restaurants, shops and parks. With having a 3 year old we came prepared with a push chair, however, we did not need it once due to the great location and frequent shuttle buses which covered the region. Unlike many of the other reviews, we found the price of food and drink, both in the hotel and the resort, very reasonable. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and would book again with no hesitation.

I found this hotel to be cheap & cheerful. My girlfriend and I were on a tight budget & we found the Majestic. We have already booked to go next year as we couldn't have wished for a better hotel (for the price you pay). Staff were amazing, (especially Tom & Jerry), pool was adequately sized, room was fine, and the food & drink wasn't as expensive as you'd think.

Overall if you're on a budget, this is the place to be.

We arrived back from the Majestic this morning - 25/7/13.
We had a fantastic time in Oludeniz and the staff at the Majestic were all very friendly and made our first experience in Turkey very enjoyable,

The breakfast was traditional Turkish and very tasty - buffet style including fruit juice, tea, lovely coffee, fruit, toast, jams, honey etc, eggs, sausage, fresh tomatoes, cucumber, olives etc.

Midday snacks around the pool were very nice and reasonably priced.

Pool was a little on the small side with sunbeds that were all taken by 7am - this situation was dealt with by Mehmet the manager and asked guests to refrain from saving sunbeds by placing a sign on the notice board by reception, which helped the situation greatly.

I recommend the Turkish night and BBQ nights which included great food and entertainment.

The rooms were on the small side, however this was not a problem as we stayed on bed & breakfast basis, The room was very clean with fresh linen and clean towels daily.

I would recommend this hotel !

The beach is a five minute walk from the hotel - take aqua shoes with you as the beach is pebbly and to buy shoes there is quite expensive.

I recommend the blue lagoon which is a 15 minute walk from the hotel - 6 lira entrance fee and 21 lira to hire 2 sunbeds and parasol (stay for the day).

I also recommend the Daylan mud bath trip, sunset cruise, 6 island boat trip and paragliding.
Be careful....... The Daylan trips include a meal do not be fooled by paying extra on top for meals, take plenty of water and drinks with you as they are very expensive to buy whilst on the trips.
The boat trip are a must (make sure you make sure your boat as a slide as this is soooo much fun) but again be careful with the price of the drinks... again take plenty of water.

All in all our holiday was fantastic and would definitely be returning to Oludeniz and the Majestic.... your holiday it what you make it.

Just back from a weeks stay at the majestic. It was our third time in olu deniz but first at the majestic but we would never stay at this hotel again. Arriving at 3 in the morning we were given the keys to our room, which was like a prison cell that you couldn't swing a cat in and was in the car park next to the main road. After complaining we were moved the next day into another room, but the toilet didnt work and after complaining for three days and being met with laughter by the man on reception i gave up complaining and fixed the toilet myself. The final insult was that our room was not cleaned for 4 days and on the fourth day we were told the cleaner would be round in half an hour, after waiting an hour and half we were then told the cleaners had gone home! I would not recommend this hotel to anybody!!

this hotel is nice, the rooms are clean , balcony`s very very small . that is the positive now for the negative , we went bed and breakfast , sorry but awfull unless you like boiled egg for breakfast , we were asked on arrival if we wanted to upgrade to half board be warned "DO NOT DO THIS " everyone that did said it was terrible and from the look of it they were right . the bar staff need some watching as they will rip you off , you get a card when you arrive and when you buy a drink or food it gets put on your card and you can pay off whenever you like , so many people had been overcharged or there were things on there bill they had not even bought ie 40 pints of beer on one couples bill and they had not even been at the bar that evening . don`t buy food or drink in this hotel as it is very expensive compared to other hotels and restaurants . in our eyes all they were interested in was getting you to spend money , the reception staff are very nice but that is where it stops . not even a kettle in you room . 2lira for 1 bottle water , you can you can buy 4 for the same price in any small shop outside . we will go back to olu deniz but no way will we ever be seen in this hotel again , you have been warned !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
