İ have been here with my family for 4 years now, and İ love every second of it. The weather is lovely, the staff are friendly to talk to. The rooms are clean and good, the poolside and entertaınment good. İ love the fact that thıs year they have included t-shirts of the hotel. i can't thınk of anythıng negative really :). Some things are new like the A'la carte and t-shirts. I always want to come back every year, becasue here it feels like home and feel like a family :)

We have just returned from a 2 week stay in Olu Deniz staying at the Turquoise Hotel. First thing I have to say is that when I review a hotel I try to be as honest as possible and look from different points of view. First impressions of the Turquoise hotel (we arrived around 20:00) were quite good, reception staff friendly and all details of the booking including extras were fine. The room was a pretty much standard holiday hotel room - all in Turquoise though which is a bit tough on the eyes to start with lol! Clean and tidy with aircon included and a safe at only £1 perd day rental.
We booked at this time to avoid the busiest time of year when the kids broke up for school however my mistake was to forget the schools in Scotland break up earlier than in England so there were a LOT of families there from Scotland as well as some that had obviously taken there kids out of English schools early. The pool area is OK but does look a little grubby sometimes. Main problems began at the end of the 1st week and in the 2nd week were horrendous. This hotel is obviously VERY popular with families (inc Turkish) and the hotel pool rapidly was taken over by hordes of screaming kids and there "non caring" parents - why do parents take their kids on holiday and think they can let them run riot as much as they want??? We dont have kids ourselves but even a few couples we had got friedly with who do have them said it was getting ridiculous - the noise is constant from 7:30 in the morning til 8.00 at night. Around the pool area there is simply no getting away from it - constant scraming, shouting, crying and argueing is NOT my idea of a relaxing holiday. Be prepared to be up early to get your towels down as ALL the sunbeds were taken by 8 each morning - are the Brits becoming the new Germans lol!
To be honest, after 7 days we had breakfast in the Turquoise Hotel and then spent the day around the pool at the nearby Blue Lagoon Hotel. We got chatting to the manager there one day and he said to pop round and use the facilities any time - I guess they are more than happy to let you do this as you end up spending money there anyway. The Blue Lagoon Hotel is fantastic - great food, lovely staff and very very relaxing (ie QUIET).
Another gripe about the Turquoise hotel is the bar / food area around the pool - the staff are RUDE - dont let anyone tell you dfferently, they are out and out ignorant and will not even acknowledge a thankyou - regardless of whether you say it in English or as we did, Turkish. Plus if you happen to be at the bar when some Turkish people come along after you prepare to WAIT to be served until after they have been dealt with!
The hotel is very popular with locals for weddings so be warned that when there is a wedding on you WILL take a back seat as far as the hotel is concerned - we returned one afternoon to find they had taken the chairs from our balcony to use as wedding seating!
If you want to spend a fortnight surrounded by screaming kids, rude staff and spending time by a pool where the predominant smell is of burgers and chips then the Turquoise is ideal. If you want a relaxing holiday I suggest somewhere else - possibly the Blue Lagoon.
As far as the resort is concerned its as good as ever (this is our 3rd trip). Some great places to eat include Toscana, Captain Hook (best fish restaurant in the resort!)Ottomans (chat to Ahmed) and the always fantastic Help Bar. We tried a restaurant that has opened this year called Harrys - looks great but very poor quality food!
One tip! Dont pay to go into the Lagoon area - walk to the right of the entrance road for about 10 minutes and there is another free beach that is just as good and leads onto the lagoon.

Lovely location, town not too big or too small. Hotel well sited just beyond the buzz, an easy walk down through main busy area to beach. Nice size of hotel, family run and not part of a group. Hotel was well kept, clean and any problems were resolved quickly.

The staff are their best asset, from the receptionists, cleaners, waiters, all were professional and did their jobs in a friendly and helpful manner.

Special mention must go to the Entertainment Staff, Emre, Gizem and Ceynur. They were excellent and really helped to make our holiday. They were well assisted by other staff who took part in all the activities which were on the go from morning until night.

I have stayed in the Turquoise hotel 3 times so far, with myu last visit being october last year, i will be returning in August this year, and i cannot wait! I love the hotel, the setting in Olu Deniz and the wonderful staff! Special mention to Osman, Ogun and Halil, who always make our holiday as special as possible. The hotel is very clean, thanks to the dedicated maids! our room has always been in block 6, we request this room as it is our favourite block, the maid in this block is very friendly and we always had lovely flowers and centerpieces on our beds, which makes it all very welcoming.
We tried sugar beach which has a free bus from the hotel, it was a nice beach, but be aware of the sharp rocks when swimming, my mum cut her foot open, so spoilt our time there. We stayed at the hotel pool most days when not on trips as there is plenty of space and good for when you are hot to just be able to jump in the pool.
There is entertainment for children and adults at the hotel, i recommend the turkish night with barbeque and the breakdance show, these are both brilliant and a fantastic night for all the family!
CANT WAIT TO SEE EVERYONE IN AUGUST INCLUDING THE DOGS!!!
