Just returned 25th September from 10 nights at this hotel.
Arrived early hours of the morning and was warmly greeted by night reception (male) . Receptionists (female) during the day seemed to find it difficult to talk to you and offered very little help.
Room : Was taken at 4am to an attic room (527) and thought what have we let ourselves in for. During the cold light of day it was a great room with lots of space (5 wardrobes) for storage, large bathroom with shower/bath and a huge round bed with another single and a pull down single sofa bed too (give some idea of size). Not recommended if you are tall though as the sloping roof will probably get you.
Staff : Bar staff and snack bar staff were great as were the entertainment team
Hotel : Setting brilliant with mountain views all around. Probably one of the cleanest hotels and pools we have had in many years of travel.
Food : Good selection of cereals and salads in restaurant. Cheeseburgers great from snack bar. Turkish night and Sunday roast the best 2 nights of the week
NOT SO GOOD
At 5:30am every morning you will be awoken by the local mosque calling to prayer. Wears you down after a while and you eventually get used to it!!!
Meals : Limited selection at all meal times even though they have a chef out on balcony in the evenings.
A la carte restaurant was subject to a 30tl charge per person with no complimentary visits..
Snack bar - Most food was pre cooked and left to go cold then re-heated in a microwave. Bolognese was not available for last 4 days of visit, only the tomato sauce??????
This was the first all inclusive hotel in 20 years where I had to hold out my plate and wait for someone to put 2 slices of meat and 2 potatoes on my plate. If you wanted more you had to leave your plate held out or ASK for more. Never went back for a 2nd helping of anything.
Drinks : All inclusive drinks were limited to 6 bottles. As long as you like Vodka, Brandy and Gin then no probs. Beer and soft drinks also available. If you wanted anything else then they had the entire wall of the bar with international branded spirits to choose from but you had to pay. Also ALL cocktails were payable.
All in all had a good time and met lots of great people. Staff were friendly and the hotel was spotless as was the pool.
Major disappointment was the limited selection of food and drink.
Will not return to this hotel (unless the food and drink comes up to standards of other hotels we have stayed in previously)
Olu Deniz is a very nice resort with lots of bars and restaurants to visit. Would go back to the resort but in a different hotel.
Breakfast at Cloud 9 was great. Josephs Madras and Sultan Ahmet Restaurants are well worth a visit.
