“Second visit and not our last!”
Reviewed October 4, 2010

We returned to the Alize on the 20th of September having stayed last September and are already planning next years stay. The hotel is in an excellent location, 2 minute walk from the main strip and 5 minutes from the beach. Rooms are small but are adequate and are kept spotless. Food is plentiful and the restaurant manager will sort any problems you may have (we didn's have any). All staff are friendly and we were made to feel welcomed and many rembered us from last year. Special thanks to Erkan and Erdam (apologies for the spelling!!) they make the Alize an excellent place to stay, Erkan and Erdam are the entertainers are work very hard day and night, my 3 year old daughter loved them. Hope they are there next season, they helped make our holiday. To summarise we had a wonderful holiday thanks to the hotel and its staff and special friends.

We have just returned from our second holiday to Turkey and we had stayed at the Alize both times, the first time we stayed was 5 years ago, there were 7 of us who stayed there and we had a great time, so when the holiday came up again, we thought we would go back, as the memories of the first holiday were still happy in our minds.

When we arrived it was just the same, the staff were frendly, the rooms were clean and all seemed well, until about the 4th day when my husband and myself both had really bad stomach's we approached the rep who without a word from us said that it was not the food,( nobody had said that is was the food) this began to make us think, as we spoke to people more and more people said they had the same symptoms as us. They said that the rep had said there was a bug going around all the hotels and not to worry.

The food seemed o.k to start with but it was rubbish and seemed to be a mish mash of bits and pieces of left over food, the drinks at the bar were just as bad the wine you could put on your chip's and the spirits were so limited with only vodka and gin, also rakki were available, the beer was o.k.

We didn't eat at the Alize after the Wednesday, we went out to eat.

The hotel is really nice but the food and drink have let the place down.

We will not go back there, it's a shame really because it could be good.

This was a lovely hotel, nice location, towards the back of the town but near enough to walk down to the beach and to the shops, and so you didn't get the noise of the busy town blaring out. The restaurant and bar staff were very friendly and very effiicent, as soon as you had finished your food they came out of nowhere to clean your table. And the entertainment staff were great too, this varied between outside people coming in and the staff doing their own shows, although it seem a bit amateurish it was absolutely hilarious and I haven't had a good belly laugh like that for ages. All the staff work extremely hard and it showed as all they wanted to do was to please everyone so that you had a good holiday.
You should definetly take advantage of the free shuttle bus to the Seahourse beach, its free to get their, free sunbeds and parasol, but you can't really take any food (we did take some crisps and water though). nice sand with no pebbles (unlike the main Olu Deniz beach).
I travelled by myself with two teenagers, a bit daunting - a mum travelling by myself for the first time in 5 years. I booked this hotel in Nov '09 after having two years of dreadful weather for my last 2 holidays in the uk. When I booked it I regulary looked on this website to check reviews, i thought I may have made a mistake and wasted my money. All i would say is don't read too much into the poor reviews, as far as we were concerned this was a excellant hotel, just don't be too fussey. The food was ok. The salads and deserts were gorgeous, and although the main courses weren't cordon-bleu it was still very very good.
The only, only bad thing was the Sunbed situation. I went on holiday to relax, to have a lie in and to wander down to breakfast at 9.30am, not to get up at 7am and get a sunbed. But by the time we went down to breakfast all the sunbeds were taken by the "British". There were big beanbads in the garden bit which is were we went most of the time. Out of 14 days we got a sunbed 3 days, and that was towards the end of the holidays when people were leaving.
All in all a great holiday all round. I would definetly recommend the resort of Olu Deniz and this hotel ,and by all accounts one of the better places in Turkey

Just returned today. The Alize was spotless, the cleaners did an excellent job with the rooms, cleaned everyday to high standard.ERKAN & DJ were brillant ,the pool games werethe same everyday but good fun,in the evening, although we didn't see it every night, what we did see was great, a right good mixture. The food was good ,the cakes were out of this world. If I go back to Olu Deniz,it will certainly be the ALIZE.

Travel and arrival to the hotel where fine, although the flight was delayed but I understand that this can not always be helped. 7.30am was our arrival time and this meant we where just in time for breakfast which consisted of stale cornflakes and luke-warm food at best. We hoped that this was just us being picky because we were tired, so we expected bettter for lunch and dinner. However, we did not get it.

Lunch and dinners consisted of almost the same food every day that we where sure was once warm but had been left to cool to a dangerous temperature before the buffet was open. Apparently it is "rude to serve warm food in Turkey", we overheard another guest say after she had asked the staff about the food. We believe it was the food that made my partner ill as she had all the symptoms of food poisoning, but when we told the receptionist they were adamant that it wasn't from there (although being all-inclusive we hadn't eaten anywhere else).

The bar was not stocked with anything other than poor wine and a few spirits, and the entertainment team became rude when we did not join in for a few events.

Overall our trip was a big disappointment and it has put us off going all-inclusive again, as we did not like the food but felt we had to eat it anyway.

Plus points where - the sun, the paragliders at the beach, the maid and the desserts.
