My partner and I stayed here in September for 10 nights with another couple and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very clean and well furnished, plenty of channels on the telly and toiletries in the bathroom, maid service was every day.
The hotel is quite large with lots of steps to each room so disabled guests may find this difficult, i did see low rooms but i think even these had steps either up or down to them.
The pool is huge with a slide which comes on every day at 3pm and is fab for the kids (and big kids :)), the animation team were good fun and would get guests playing water polo, aqua aerobics and tug of war in the pool.
The staff were friendly and helpful and always clearing plates, glasses away and cleaning the floors etc. There was never a problem getting beds around the pool for us 4 although one of our friends would be down at the pool at 7 to get beds, there were days when alot were spare.
The food was very hitty miss, you could guarantee that if there was meat on for lunch it would be recycled for dinner but i suppose this is bound to happen in all inclusive hotels. We ate out twice and it was a nice change - i would recommend the Buzz Bar on the sea front, the views of the sunset (although over the mountains) was very nice and the steaks my other half and friends had looked and tasted amazing!! Be sure to book a table though as they get very busy around sunset at 7pm onwards.
Every day at 3pm in the hotel there would be ice cream served in the snack bar, watch for the water coming on on the slide and you'll know its ice cream time!! Snacks are served more or less all day and consist of pizzas, breads, burgers and chips although getting the chips you ordered before they go to someone is a task!
It was my first time in Turkey and i would definitely return, olu deniz was lovely and relaxing, we did go up to hisaronu twice and enjoyed a livelier night out up there, the dolmus takes you up there for a couple quid.
We went on 2 boat trips whilst we were there which left from olu deniz beach, we went on a sunset cruise for £5 each which was lovely, you get to sail to a nice sunset spot, a meal and then music and dancing on a beach before coming home, well worth a fiver and the best bit for me was star gazing on the way back, ive never seen as many stars as i what i saw in Turkey, just beautiful. The second trip we went on was a 6 island trip which was from 11.30am - 5.30pm and basically took you on the same route as the sunset cruise but with a couple of extra places thrown in, again you get a meal on this trip and it only cost £12 each, it was a long day but well worth doing.
We really nejoyed our holiday, we found it to be very relaxing and the food/drink was cheap enough, i would definitely return and would stay at the Alize hotel again if it was cheap anough but maybe eat out more.
