The Yalcin Hotel is situated in a prime location, close to all amenities. The self catering apartments were very spacious and linen and towels were changed when you requested. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. Eric the owner, Robbie Simon and all the other staff do an excellent job, nothing is ever too much for them to do for you. The evening entertainment was excellent and suited all ages. The food was delicious and the drinks were reasonably priced. We booked direct , the transfers were included so this was ideal with no other pick ups or drop offs.. Overall this was a fantastic holiday and we will be going back next year..

Took a chance and organised this with the hotel direct and would never look back. Erin, Robbie and the family and hotel staff were fantastic. Nothin ever too much and made us relaxing during the two weeks. Met some 'characters' at the hotel....kiss kiss, len, les e.t.c. but found that the majority of these clients come back year after year.

The entertainment was very good especially the Yalcin got talent and the turkish nit. A great time had by the both of us..will be returning.

For what you pay this is a great hotel. OK rooms are very basic but very very clean, and the room was kept clean with clean towels every time we needed them. Breakfast is a basic turkish breakfast, but hey.... you are in Turkey and there are other options to have if you want them. Trust me their jams and honey are delicious. The location is spot on with wonderful mountain backdrop and only a very short walk to the numerous bars etc in the 'high street'. Swimming pool - nothing to say really, its great, relaxing and wonderful view of the mountains. Staff here are what completes the whole package.. Eric, Robbie and Simon are so very helpful, funny and really friendly. Do try their Turkish night, it really is a great evening and the food is just fab (and very cheap). The Yalcin's numerous evening enterainment leaves you laughing all night, especially the bingo and karoke!! To sum it up, myself and my 16year old son had the best holiday ever. Try it, you wont be disappointed... unless you are expecting high quality accommodation in which case book something else and pay for it. Its hardly surprising that people return year after year and quite honestly (although I always like to holiday in different locations), this is one holiday I would do again. By the way, book your trips up with the people on the high street, and haggle. We did the scuba diving and jeep safari (highly recommended for a great laugh... grown men at war with water pistols!!). Eating out is a pleasure as there are loads of different restauants to choose from each one equally delicious but our favourite was the 4 course meal at El Nino (only 17 TL).

Room Tip: We had Room 1 and it was ok

I'll try not to confuse you too much ... We arrived early hours of Saturday 18th June at Yalcin to find that the company we had booked with had actually booked us into another hotel called Yalcins which was in Ovacik (just up the road), So... taxi to Yalcins, spoken to by rude man who said we weren't booked in there, taxi back to Yalcin. Phone call to manager Eric from Yalcin who came to hotel and personally took us to Yalcins in his own car to try and sort out confusion, woke up representative from hotel (asleep on pool table) to be shown to a room which was horrendous, I wouldn't have let a dog sleep in there!! We explained this to Eric who had waited around to make sure we were okay, he relayed this to Yalcins who shrugged his shoulders!! Spoke to travel company on telephone who advised we could arrange our own accomodation but at our cost! Eric from Yalcin allowed us to have an amazing 2 bed self catering apartment for the week at a bargain price, took us there personally, showed us around and gave us tea bags, sugar, bottled water etc. All the staff at Yalcin were amazing and really went out of there way to help us have a brilliant holiday from what started out to be a real nightmare! We were even waved off by all the staff when we left (other people on the transfer coach were amazed!!)
A massive thank you to Eric and all the staff at Yalcin!!
Mark and Lisa
p.s book with Yalcin Hotel and PLEASE avoid Yalcins hotel as they have no connection to this inferior hotel!!

This is a small family run hotel which has many people returning year after year... that has to say something.
My only couple of niggles were we in a room at the back of the hotel which was near the cesspit,i found this to be noisy during the night but not a huge problem...the top sheet on the beds are not like sheets in the UK, they are quite thick and don't cover the bed...again not a huge problem... to be fair we were in Turkey and not the UK so don't expect the same standard...the music i did find too much at times when sitting around the pool...the last thing i personally want to hear is British music!! as there are alot of older people staying there, it might be a nice idea to have more mellow music during the day...just a suggestion!!.
Now the positive points.... the staff are friendly who will go out of their way to look after you.If you need anything just ask...
Ideally located literally 5 minutes away from the the main town..
The pool area is lovely, very clean and with a great view of the mountains all around..
A small mini bus will pick you up from the Hotel if needed to visit other locations( if travelling with Thomson ask the rep)..
It is true that it appeared that the staff favoured people who had returned year after year but again to be fair, this is probably because they have built up a relationship with them over the years and treat them like part of their family.
As it was our first visit to Turkey we didn't spend too much time at the hotel as we wanted to explore and crammed as much as we could into the week. The hotel do offer their own trips and although we didn't go on them, we spoke to others who had and said they were great!
To conclude, we would have no hesitation in returning here.

When we arrived at Yalcin for our first holiday in Turkey, it was 01 30 am, we had dropped many people off at different destinations which were in darkness and very quiet.... Not so at Yalcins...we were greeted by Robbie, who welcomed us and sat us down for drinks... well why not eh, lovely jubbly. From that moment onward we enjoyed a most relaxing holiday and were also fortunate enough to meet some real characters who frequent the hotel regularly. There is entertainment that goes on into the early hours, however it does not cut into your beauty sleep. The hotel tries to please all its guests and whilst many enjoy late night drinks, there will always be those who prefer an early night and the hotel is ever conscious of this, so rest assured your stay at Yalcins will be a memorable one. Eric is never far away and his brother Sam runs a superb Hotel 10 minutes away, an absolute must for a meal or two or three or four, it really is that good. And dont miss the restaurants kareoke night, absolutely superb, the chefs n waiters chip in with some turkish dancing, it's all great fun. During our stay, our Thomsons rep was a phone call away in the resort of Hisaronu. He ( Matt ) visited the hotel regularly and also put a performance in on the talent night. Between himself and the friendly staff at Yalcin, nothing is to much trouble. As mentioned earlier, it was our first time in turkey and we'd never stayed in a lower than four star rated hotel, but friends had recommended it, and it would be a pleasure to return. Ive not often said that about a holiday. A ten minute walk to all the ameneties of Hisaronu, which housed a plethera of eateries and we never had a bad meal out anywhere. A wave of the hand to flag down a ride to Olu Deniz for peanuts... everything is very easy, and guys you have to have a shave, its a must. Oh and ladies a Turkish Bath, preferably upon arrival, you'll return with the best tan ever, promise, and whilst relaxing around the pool, you'll be hard pressed to find a location with a mountain backdrop like this enjoys... it's wonderful. Oh one last thing, the early morning prayer call announcement at 5am via the town tannoy system, having never been to a muslim state before I was stood on the balcony wondering if we were in reciept of the three minute warning hehe...However, to my surprise one does actually sleep through most of them, and Im a light sleeper. So in a nutshell... SUPERB.
