Just returned from 2 weeks at the Montebello Beach and had a really enjoyable holiday. The rooms are very basic, however the air conditioning is excellent, fridge is cold and shower strong and hot all the things you need in the heat and after all who spends a lot of time in the room while on holiday?
We were in block 3 on the ground floor and the room was a bit dark and you did need the light on whenever you were in the room this was a bit off putting at first but actually this location ensured that the room remained cool at all times and was far enough away from the bar to not hear any noise from late night drinkers.
The breakfast was Turkish and the range of food available was very good and plenty of it. English breakfast was available but you could get better in other restaurants in the resort. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant as the reason we book B&B is to try all restaurants available in the resort ,this became a bit of a joke amongst the restaurant staff who use to ask us each day when we were booking in for a meal.
The staff are great very friendly and helpful particularly Mehmet on reception who was fab, They all spoke excellent english so I dont understand a previous comment about communication being dfficult the one young man who did not speak fluent english was very keen to learn and would always get another member of staff if he got stuck.
The rooms were cleaned daily and linen and towels changed regularly.
In summary you got what you paid for if you want 5 star this is not the hotel for you but if you are looking for a small and friendly budget base then go for this hotel.

Room Tip: block 3 is quieter . No lifts in any block,

If it's simplicity and cleanliness you're looking for then the Montebello Beach Hotel is the place to be. The rooms were impeccably clean and the free aircon is really beneficial. The location is ideal as you are literally less than 5 minutes walk from the beach. The pool snack menu and the restaurant menu is lovely, lots of choice, very reasonable prices and delicious. We did not have any negative experiences staying in this hotel. The staff were helpful and very friendly and the accommodation was just the cherry on top of a perfect holiday. Definitely would come back again, so reasonable for what you get.

Room Tip: Pool view are best, not groundfloor

I thought this hotel was very pleasant. The rooms were a decent size and were kept very clean and the towels sheets were replaced every few days. The main areas were kept clean and tidy too. I found all the staff friendly and helpful, from the restaurant staff to the cleaners. The breakfast was a typical Turkish buffet of eggs, meat, cheese, bread and fruit. There was always plenty to have. There was some noise from the bar at night, but no different from any of the other hotels I have stayed at. Once the air conditioning was on, you couldn’t hear it at all. The Olive Grove restaurant was ok. Not the best food in the area but it was perfectly edible and there was the benefit of 10% discount for hotel guests. We made friends with a few of the staff (no-one can avoid Kenny!) and on our last night, they all came over to say goodbye. I would definitely go back to this hotel again, we really enjoyed our stay.

If you do go and the cat is still about, give him a scratch on the head from us.

We spent a week here and had a wonderful time! Our room was spacious with a balcony, fridge and air conditioner which are all appreciated in the hot weather. The staff were friendly and attentive. Breakfast was different to traditional UK but we were in Turkey and there was plenty to eat and drink at the breakfast buffet. It is a little noisy round the bar area but people are on holiday and there to relax and unwind - once we closed the doors, put on the air-con we had a great nights sleep whilst others were still able to enjoy themselves at the pool bar. The weather was great, the pool area really nice and the location of the hotel is ideal for Olu Deniz.
The Turkish people were friendly and accommodating, this was a lovely holiday and I would recommend it.

Hotels management needs to be reviewed as no general manager. Owner doesn't understand English and therefore no improvements in customer service will be made.

Receptionist Staff - try their best knowing holidaymakers needs can only be meet to a certain point due to the communication barriers with Management.

Porters - very helpful - very concerned about running to kitchen with food orders watching porter often staggering upstairs close to falling.

Bar Staff - needing managing to improve quality around bar area (boundaries and opinions).

Hotel rooms are standard, keep the windows closed to avoid mosquitoes bites. I would suggest you take jungle formula sprays.

Bar and pool area, music around the bar quality is poor and played very loud at night , making it difficult to sleep after 11.30.

Food at Breakfast is basic and would benefit from food labels. Food eaten from restaurant was standard. Breakfast times are between 0800 - 1000 doesn't give us Brits a chance to get there on our few days of arriving since our clock two hours behind, and most flights to turkey land during the early hours of the morning.

The lovely cleaning ladies were wonderful it was very sad seeing them carrying around huge heavy linen around in sacks. It would be nice standards improving for them - linen cupboards!

Would rate this accommodation higher if improvements were made. A mixture of female and male staff was applied in bar/restaurant areas.

Room Tip: Ask for an upper room, avoid rooms facing the bar area that would be all blocks if your wanting to a...

Second time staying at the Montebello beach and it was just as good as last time if not better. The Montabello beach is not like an ordinary hotel it is more like a second home for me and my fiance. We stayed for 10 nights and would easily go back again.

Points to note:
The location is perfect for everything you need, close to restaurants and to all the bars and the beach front. Right outside the hotel restaurant the Olive Grove (which has the best steak and vegetarian food we found in Oludeniz.) is the Dolmus stop that runs every 3 mins.

The service in the hotel is second to none. The men on reception Memet and Serkar (not sure of the spelling) were extremely helpful and willing to help in anyway possible. We arrived with strange circumstances that I shall not go into and did not have a reservation, we were welcomed back being recognized from the last time and were straight away located an available room and our bags were carried there for us while we paid. They were also helpful in making reservations at any restaurant on the phone for us.

The rooms are small but comfortable and had all we needed the shower was powerful and hot at all times of the day and the room was cleaned everyday by the maids to satisfaction. The air conditioning worked well, was easy to use and kept the room cool during the day.

The only critizim is the noise level at night (we stayed in block 1) during the night. Though is not the hotels fault as the noise we experienced was from the hotel across the road and not the pool bar so this is out of the hotel complex. We closed the windows in the hall to block out most of the noise.

All staff, maids, waiters, pool bar staff and any I have missed out are all exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. If you want somewhere cheap for the value and friendly base to come back to come to this hotel.

Room Tip: try to get a room in block 2 or 3 much quieter we stayed in block 2 last year and could tell the dif...

Having stayed at this hotels sister, The Montebello before it was modernised. I had good expectations for this hotel. On arrival the reception guy was ok, told us to sit whilst he arranged things. We were taken in to our room at 1745, the maid was still cleaning the room and the beds weren't made. We went back to reception and we were given a family room, excellent I thought. However, this room had no electric, the reception guy was then extremely rude. He stomped over to the room, pulled the fuses out of the fuse box and blew on them and said it was ok! Finally, we were given another family room, it was clean and basic but exactly as expected.
With regards to money grabbing, a bottle of water from the pool bar is 2TL about 80p. The same bottle from the supermarket attached to the hotel and owned by the hotel is 50c, about 17p.If you decide to purchase from the supermarket and drink it at the pool, the angry reception guy will threaten you! Also whilst eating breakfast, they will explain the olive grove menu with discount prices! not what I want whilst trying to eat breakfast!
No courtesy room is available, checkout is 1200 and you can pay 60TL to extend until 1600, not much use for flights departing at 2200!
We have been to Oludeniz 4 times before and have made lots of friends but this hotel is a definite no-no.
