Went to the Belcekiz Hotel in May, the weather was good most of the time, I thought it was a nice time of the year to go. The Hotel facilities were excellent. Liked the fact they had an adults only pool if you wanted a bit of peace. The whole resort was well maintained, and just on the beach. As a guest you get free passes for sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach. Was fascinated by the paragliders coming down on an area just off the beach. The standard of the food was excellent, there was a lot of traditional Turkish food which was nice and I did not go away to eat English food. However for those who prefer English there was equally as much English food and did a really nice Sunday roast. There was also a really good selection of Indian curries one night. Service was exceptional and you never sat with an empty glass because the very efficient waiters topped it up immediately. Entertainment was good and catered for all tastes. Enjoyed a trip to the Blue Lagoon. 2 Ways of doing it: a short walk up the beach and pay to get in on nature reserve bit, or at the hotel you could ask them to ring for a free ride to the private bit where you went to a part of the beach owned by a restaurant and just had one of there sun beds for a small charge and had a snack there. Would definitely return

We were a family of ten (10) having transferred from Thomson Celebration cruise ship i.e. 'Ancient Wonders of the World'. We arrived at Hotel Belcekiz at 1300 hours, on Monday 5th August 2013. We were well received and escorted to our respective rooms, which were clean, tidy and comfortable. On our first night dining, we were greeted by Mehmet who ushered us to a table laid for ten (10) guests. The food was abundant, and an excellent selection. The service was very attentive and we were always well looked after. As an alternative to watching the entertainment, we occasionally used the pool bar where we were exceptionally well looked after by 'Bruno' and his young, new, inexperienced colleague, 'Etoo', who excelled in attending to our requests. We are NOT pool lovers and in accordance with the hotel being located on the beach, we ventured to the pebbled beach. For ten (10) sun beds and five (5) umbrellas, we paid fifty-five (55) TL per day, making a total of three hundred and eighty five (385) TL for the week i.e. one hundred and thirty five pounds sterling (£135.00). It is prudent to point out that the hotel does have a FREE beach, namely Sugar beach, located next to The Blue Lagoon. The hotel also supplies free transport to the beach. The pebbled beach in front of the hotel gives direct access into the sea. Approximately 200 metres out into the sea is a rubber pipe which acts as a floating boom. I was of the opinion that the boom was so positioned to keep out the water sport vehicles, however, my initial observation turned out to be incorrect. Having swam out to the boom on a number of occasions I witnessed large quantities of effluent being contained the other side of the boom. The boom was only about 70% efficient and on a number of occasions myself and my family witnessed human faeces, sanitary towels and macerated toilet paper floating on the surface of the sea. The effluent was moving with the tide, so our swimming in the sea was dictated by the tidal currents. In the afternoon we were often joined in the sea by male employees from the hotel, they confirmed our fears that the effluent did contain human faeces (not the word they used)!!
A wonderful holiday, which was slightly marred by the 'muck' in the sea.

This was our third visit to the Belekiz. The hotel is in a great location right on the beachfront. The rooms are a bit on the small side but spotlessly clean. Once again we had excellent service from all the staff. The restaurant offers superb food with a good varied menu. Mehmet did a fantastic job running the restaurant and I'm disappointed that he has left, the new manager has some very big shoes to fill. The entertainment team of Air, little big, east, Gerry and Christina are brilliant, keep up the good work guys. The only negative point is the pool bar service which wasn't up to the usual standard, we often ordered drinks and they never arrived, I think the pool bar is missing Tarik and Richie who both ran it superbly and it needs to go back to their standards. The plaza bar is the place to be in an evening, great atmosphere. We will defnetly return next year and have recommended it to family and friends.

Room Tip: Rooms in te annexe are quieter than the main building

The position of this hotel couldn't have been better right on the beach and with the town with all its restaurants and bars within a short stroll along the promenade. The hotel facilities were superb with all you needed to enjoy your holiday . The food was really good from breakfast to late breakfast to dinner to afternoon tea to snack time to evening meal to late snacks you can get something to eat all day long. The quality was also very good fresh fruit ,salads, pasta, pizza,Turkish dishes ,Chinese ,Indian and even roast dinners on a Sunday , not to mention the delicious deserts( profiteroles and banana pancakes were superb). The staff were really friendly and helpful , the bar staff always making sure your glass remained topped up be it during the day sat by the pool or during the evening in the dining room or bar areas. The a la carte restaurant was also worth a visit for a change excellent pepper steak cooked to a tee washed down with nice bottle of merlot perfect. Next door to the hotel was the hang out bar with nice comfortable seating and the best cocktails in town well worth a visit as the sun sets over the mountains and the many para gliders sour high above coming into land just in front of the hotel.special mention for the entertainment team who were all so friendly , Air ,Tom,Christina,Little big, east, belle and Gerry made the holiday for my daughter who was in floods of tears when we had to say goodbye.Gerry had us in stitches every day with his daily game of French boules what a character !
We had a room in the annexe across the road from the main hotel which was quiet and comfortable although a little small for three . Ventured out on two trips while we were there went scuba diving for the day and would recommend micro lighting which was fantastic and got some amazing photos of the coastline and the resort from above. Overall great holiday in a superb place would defiantly recommend this hotel

Room Tip: Rooms in the annexe across the road are quieter but for three was a little on the small side when al...

THis was our second visit to this hotel having spent 2 weeks there last year, the only time we have ever stayed anywhere twice! Stayed 2 weeks from 29th July to 12th August. We returned as our teenage daughter had a fantastic holiday last year.

A few changes from last year, the biggest disappointment for us was having to pay for the sunbeds on the beach outside the hotel, last year these were free. The hotel does offer free beds on the beach at the blue lagoon and offers a free bus there but you then have to either pay for food and drinks at the beach or travel back to the hotel, which is annoying when you have paid for all inclusive. The best entertainment was watching the mad dash in a morning for sun beds, i can't believe people actually queued from 7 am until the pool opened at 8!! There were actually big arguments between guests over the beds, and yes they were all British!!! We managed to get beds in the
garden area each day, although most of those were taken by 8.15. This did not happen last year as more people used the beach.

The food and service in the restaurants was excellent, Mehmet the restaurant manager was always on hand and had a great rapport with all the guests. On our last day we were very sad to hear he was leaving, and will not book again until we have read some reviews from guests staying after he has gone.

The service and atmosphere in the Plaza bar was excellent, the service around the pool bar was not as good as last year, very slow to get drinks.

Entertainment team worked very hard, great for teenagers and adults, not sure there was much for younger children.

We stayed in the annexe both years, this years room was much smaller, not really a problem as we didn't spend much time in our room. The bigger rooms are the ones with a bath and shower. The rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels each day.

We travelled with Thomson, and Richard the rep was excellent.

I have given 4 stars this year, 5 last year but this was really due to the sun bed situation and the service in the pool bar. Still had a great holiday though and will watch the reviews over the coming months to see how service is affected by Mehmet and some of the current entertainment leaving.

Room Tip: rooms in the annex are quieter, rooms with a bath and shower seem to be more spacious.

We stayed 28/7-2/8. Cannot fault this hotel for its welcome, food, staff and location near the beach. Previous reviews encouraged us to go and we were not disappointed, however without the incredible entertainment team and service staff, waiters and bar staff are exceptional. Olu Deniz itself was ok but not what we expected.. Bit tacky!! once you have seen one para glider you have seen them all... As the hotel was so good we didn't venture out much other than boat trips, trip to Fetyia and Gocek which were well worth it. Blue lagoon was nice, pay to go and give the free sugar beach a miss... It's very run down and more of a swamp!! The hotel itself owes everything to Air,Entertainments Manager and especially Jerry, Little Big and the other entertainers who worked tirelessly to ensure we were having a good holiday without being intrusive or overbearing. They were amazing... Even coming to find us as we waited for our pick up to leave for the airport so they could say goodbye.. Never had service like this before anywhere else. The only downside was the pathetic behaviour of some residents for the competition in the early morning to get to their sunbeds. It was appalling behaviour and created a bad atmosphere around the pool at times , we witnessed a number of face to face arguments ... Not what you want to see on your hols!! The disco could have done with a little more variety of music but we enjoyed it most nights. The reception staff were very poor and unhelpful and it was as if they had been trained by different people and were totally out of touch with everything else about this hotel.. Really let it down. Shops / games area could fo with a revamp too. However, We would recommend this hotel to all ages ... Had a great time , special thanks to entertainment team and our special waiter Arif ... Cannot fault
them! Thanks all for a lovely holiday... Turkish people were lovely too, very friendly and most speak excellent English. If you like
good food, hot weather, good entertainment and are up for a
laugh and a good time then book this hotel, you'll love it. Shame some of the team are leaving at the end of season as they will be greatly missed I'm sure ... Good luck Jerry and Little Big in your futures !!

Awesome resort, facilities, fabulous food with many culinary delights to tempt the fussiest of taste buds, overall cleanliness of both rooms and grounds immaculate! Staff are most helpful and accomodating. Clearly a popular resort as most couples and families are multiple returnees. First time at Belcekiz but will definitely return there. Thank yo us for a wonderful time and memories.
