“A first great holiday at the Belcekiz Beach”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

I chose the Belcekiz Beach due to the excellent rating the hotel was attracting in all of the brochures. What a great choice, it more than met the brochure hype. Right on the promenade at Oledeniz, surrounded by mountains, a terrific location. The staff were incredibly friendly, the food wonderful and plentiful. My wife and daughter particularly liked the pool, nice and warm and easy to get into. Made a change from the ice baths that we have experienced at other hotels.

Our only negative comment was one of our own making. To avoid the single room suppliment for our daughter we chose to all share the same room. The standard rooms are advertised as suitable for three adults. Not so, they are too small for anything other than two adults and a small child. However, a quick word to the Thomson rep, Karen, and we were rehoused in a much larger room in the hotel annex. Full marks for Karen and the hotel management.

It was great to lie by the pool and watch the paragliders flying overhead and landing outside on the prom. So much so that I had a flight with Skysports, one of the many companies offering tandem flights. What an experience, flying off the top of the mountain, 6500ft high.

The hotel entertainment was low key but great fun, their show Snow White and the eight dwarves had us in stitches, particularly as there were only four dwarves.

We fully intend to return to this hotel in 2013.

Room Tip: Pay the single room suppliment

We stayed for a week prior to our cruise and had a great time. We could not fault anything with the hotel, food, staff, service, accommodation (which has tea and coffee making facilities) and location. Our room (208) was in the main hotel area, which was nicely decorated and furnished. We had a Turkish bath and massage at the hotel spa, which was great value for money. The atmosphere in the Plaza bar is brilliant and all the entertainment team do a great job.

All in all we had a lovely week and would certainly go back again and recommend to family and friends.

Room Tip: We had room 208, which was spacious, and it the main hotel complex.

Could not fault anything with the hotel, staff, service and accommodation. We stayed for a week had never been to Turkey before and were extremely taken with the genuine friendliness of everyone we encountered, not only in the hotel but also around the resort.
All of the staff were very friendly from the management down and happy and willing to interact with the guests at all times.
The entertainment team worked extremely hard throughout each day keeping people aware of what events were being organised, carrying them out and still around late at night in the Plaza bar chatting and keeping everyone happy and involved if they wanted to be.
Would definitely look to go back for another visit next season

Room Tip: The annex rooms are set in lovely garden surroundings seconds away from the main public areas of the...

We stayed at this hotel for a week prior to a weeks cruise. Having previously only stayed at 5 star hotels in Mexico and the Caribbean, I was expecting the Belcekiz to be of a similar standard based on the glowing reviews that this hotel gets. I am afraid that it does not reach the standard of the other hotels we have stayed in hence the 3 star rating but we did enjoy our weeks stay here.

We stayed in the annex and our room was basic but very clean. The wardrobe rail was set so high, I couldn't get my clothes in or out and had to get my husband to get them for me and the room was very small but we were only there for a week, do it wasn't a big deal.

There was a mad rush every morning at 8am for the sunbeds around the pool. As the clients are mainly British, this couldn't be blamed on the Germans!!!! There were always plenty of beds in the garden which was nice and shady in 35+ temperatures.

The food, as has been previously stated, it of a reasonable standard and they do try to cater for all tastes. Our favourite meal was breakfast but that was down to personal preferences. There is a large variety of foods at all meals times but as with most buffets it gets samey after a while.

The evening entertainment performed by Air and his team is so bad that you have to laugh. If you catch their rendition of Snow White, you will see what I mean.

All in all we had a lovely relaxing week but unlike a lot of the guests we will not be returning. I guess we have been spoilt by genuine 5 star hotels. We booked this hotel because at the time it was rated number 1 in Olu Deniz but now it has slipped to 4. If you go with an open mind and do not have high expectations, you will have a great time. How I wish that cocktails were included on the all inclusive and ice cream at meal times.

Room Tip: The annex is quieter

My 19 year old daughter and I stayed at the Belcekiz Beach hotel for 10 days this September and we loved every minute of it. We'd read lots of great reviews on Trip Advisor so we knew we were in for a good holiday, and have to agree with everybody else - the food is amazing! We've stayed at lots of All Inc hotels and we're usually quite happy with the food, if maybe a little bored, but this time we were much more than "quite happy"! Every mealtime was a feast and we both gained weight, but it was worth it. I must mention the afternoon snack time as it took us a couple of days to realise how good it was - unlike other hotels that put out something simple like chips and pizza for guests to help themselves from, at the Belcekiz Beach you actually order your snack (burger and chips, pizza, wrap etc) from a menu and its cooked fresh to order. Brilliant!
Our room was in the main hotel area and I think had been fairly recently refurbished as it was fresh, bright and clean but I have read on here that some people felt their rooms were in need of updating - so my tip would be to request a refurbed room in the main area. (our room no was 259).
As our stay was during term time we didn't feel the need to use the quiet pool in the annex. It does get very busy by the pool and we did struggle to get a sunbed a couple of times but we refused to play the famous 8am towel game!
The entertainment team were good fun although the evening entertainment was rather childish. The atmosphere in the Plaza bar was great though and it was interesting to see that non-guests would come and have a drink there too. On our first day we had a turkish bath at the hotel spa, great value at £10 each.
We rarely left the hotel really, we went to the beach once but the sea was too stony and rough for me (tip - buy or bring sand shoes) but its worth pointing out that sunbeds and parasols are free to hotel guests if you use the area directly in front of the hotel. We took a stroll to the lagoon one day but didn't stay long as we really preferred to lie by the pool.
We did go on the Jeep Safari with Focus Tours. It was a lot of fun but we had no idea just how WET it would be! The chap at Focus really didn't warn us so I would recommend you take the minimum with you and wrap your things in a plastic bag, take a water pistol, wear your swimming costume and be prepared to get totally and utterly soaked ... over and over again!
Finally, I think we saved quite a bit by booking the hotel through booking.com and sourcing our flights and transfer separately, compared to booking a package with Thomson holidays.

Room Tip: I recommend rooms in the main hotel, ask for one that's been refurbished.

We returned last week from this fantastic hotel, and as many before have said its just about the best we have ever encountered.

From check in to the room very smooth.Once in the room we found that we could not set the safe, within ten minutes we had a new set of batteries fitted and the extra coat hangers that we had requested. This room was cleaned to the highest standars daily, and was very comfortable.

The restaurant has to be the best for an all inclusive that we have ever been in with the themed evenings serving traditional food and not just saying Indian & Chinese but doing it properely, and the sweets well amazing. And so clean even down to the nice touch of hand sanitiser before you enter.

The alacart is well worth a visit excellent food at resonable prices.

The gardens & pool areas were spotlessly clean and also the toilet areas. And fresh pool towels always available.

The adult pool is very relaxing for those who wish for a bit more piece and quiet.Or you can join in at the main pool the choice is yours.

What realy makes this hotel stand out from most others is the fact that the staff are trained to such a high standard that nothing is to much trouble anything that you dont see food, drink, or anything you only have to ask. This I am sure is why all the guests relax and are so friendly to each other.Congratulations to the general manager and his team.

The location also is very good, you can allways go for a nice walk and feel safe which is very comforting .

Like many have said before the world is to big with many places to see to go back to the same hotel and we have seen many. But now that we have found a little paradise we have already booked to return next year.
