Booked this hotel direct as it was highly recommended by friends, also paid them for the transfer which was a bonus as it only took 1 hour instead of 2 hours if we'd used a holiday company bus.

I'd booked a suite but when checking in we were taken to a standard room, it took almost 2 hours before we were allocated the correct room as there was a mix up with number of nights & what was available. There are only 3 suites so it was fortunate that I could prove by email what I had paid for, not a good start.

Our final room was acceptable, not 5 star with a tired bathroom, shower sporadic, the main bed very comfy, the others not so, very lumpy. You needed the air con on during the night but it was very cold & there were not enough blankets. Only one key is allowed per room which proves difficult if you have young children & want to take them to bed early as you have to all go together. We asked for a second key but this was not permitted.

Location is wonderful, minutes away from the beach, make sure you take beach/sea shoes as there are pebbles & stones walking into the sea which I found very painful. The only beach with no stones is at Sugar Beach (a free shuttle from the hotel), only takes 10 minutes & is lovely.

The food choices were fantastic, you would never go hungry, something for everyone although my 14 & 7 year olds were not impressed (fussy eaters). We treated ourselves to an English breakfast outside the hotel at shadows bar (lovely) a Chinese dinner one evening at nearby restaurant (lovely) & a dinner at Buzz Bar down the road (fantastic) just to sample alternative places.

Pool area was great for everyone, only downside is the ridiculous sunbed race that is mentioned on loads of reviews. The queue starts from 7am, the dash for beds at 8am & believe me its pathetic. Something really should be done by the hotel as you can never get a bed close to the pool which is annoying if you have smaller children that you want to keep an eye on. There is no lifeguard so safety is an issue. Towels can be left on the beds from 8am & people don't arrive until after 11am, I don't think this is acceptable.

Entertainment is hit & miss, the team are brilliant though. Some of the evening acts are fantastic, others mediocre. Daytime activities don't really change, the water gym was fun, the 2011 dance routine very entertaining but the rest was quite boring.

The staff I have to say were extremely competent, friendly & hard working. You never had to wait for a drink, they were always on hand.

Away from the hotel, my husband & 7 year old did the 6000ft paragliding (we booked at Bloody Gorgeous on the main shopping strip). They loved it, £65 each I thought was a little steep then another 100 lira for dvd & pictures so became an expensive experience. We also went on the 6 island boat trip, very cheap & had a great day out.

All in all, we loved the resort & will certainly return however we will more than likely try another hotel. It wasn't that bad but could have been better for 5 star.

Room Tip: If you want to be near the restaurant & pool, make sure you request this as you may be allocated...

Having been to Olu Deniz before and having dined during our previous stay at the Belcekiz , we decided to return and book all inclusive here. We could not have asked for better. The hotel is spotless, the staff are so helpful, happy, and nothing at all was too much trouble for them. The young waiters and waitresses (Mostly teenagers from high schools and colleges) were so polite and friendly and treated you with the utmost respect - they were a delight !! The food was beautiful, and there was something to suit every palette. There was entertainment every night and the bar area atmosphere was "buzzing" . The staff around the bar area were so nice and nearly everyone had a talent eg Ritchie juggled his bottles !!, Ozzy danced for us, even senior management got up and did their bit of entertainment - this just shows that despite having high standards and being strict with staff as we witnessed, they were capable of enjoying a good time with the staff - they were like one big family !!! I would agree with another review I have read that the hotel itself in terms of luxury and room size, perhaps does not warrant 5 stars but certainly the levels of service warranted 5 stars ! We had a lovely time, made lovely friends, John & Val, Andy & Debbie who all contributed to make our holiday our most memorable ! We will definitely be returning.

We travelled with our two 20yr old children, the hotel was spotlessly clean, the food good , service excellent and the adult pool quiet and relaxing. The kids enjoyed and joined in with all the entertainment, they would have liked another karreokee night, but whether the rest of the guests would have we are unsure.
The beach bar was lovely the service was friendly and the drinks kept flowing.
We all enjoyed our holiday.

Have just returned from the Club Belcekiz beach hotel after 2 weeks & thought I would add my review to the many on here.
After reading all the excellent reviews beforehand we were very excited to get there and when we did we thought the hotel did meet up to our expections. The rooms as mentioned by others are indeed a little on the small side and basic. The annexe rooms have much more storage space and are near the lovely adult pool so dont despair if you are booked to go in there. The maid changes the towels daily and cleans the room but dont expect all the frills you get in other hotels with your pj's rolled in funny shapes, sometimes ours were thrown on the sideboard!!
The hotel itself lives upto its reviews with regards to cleanliness, staff and food quality. All very good as expected from a 4/5 star hotel. It is situated right on the beach & the strip of resturants/bars. We enjoyed visiting them after dinner for trendy cocktails (buzz bar) and dancing (Harrys bar) and Cloud 9 for UK sports. We always returned at 11.30pm to grab a late night snack & a couple of drinks in the fabulous plaza bar before the all inclusive ended at midnight.
The entertainment is okish, a good tip is to grab a table outside for dinner which overlooks the ampitheatre so when the show starts, you dont have to find a seat. You can sit here till 10pm so we enjoyed ordering a carrafe of rose for the duration.
The entertainers themselves are cheerful and friendly and like to chat to the guests - beware if you have an inferiority complex however as both males & females are extremely good looking and are obviously aware of this as they like to dance on the stage in the plaza bar every evening wearing teeny tiny clothes. Anyway we didnt mind as it added to the plaza bar atmosphere.....
Now for the negatives! (These are nothing to do with the hotel!) As the hotel reviews show, the hotel has a large percentage of repeat guests and this is quite obvious around the pool area all day. You find they know each other so help each other out on the dreaded pool run. I tootled down at 8.15am every morning to find what was left around the pool area (as I have a child) mostly ending up with 3 crappy ones in the shade or near the bar but at least I got beds there. You would find these groups congregating together throughout the day chatting loudly and getting excitable when the entertainment staff were closeby. I know this is quite normal for swimming pools abroad but when you have to shout sometimes to speak to the next person on the sunlounger and there are people stood together gossiping blocking out your sun it can get quite annoying!!! Lastly, and is not a negative but a fact - the hotel's clientele is mostly cockneys.....
So to summarise now back in the UK, I would return to the hotel again as it was lovely but only with a group of friends...

The room we had was small but kept very clean with towels changed every day and sheets every other day. Having stayed in many hotels and resorts in Turkey what this hotel lacks is personality. It is very big and the staff and the food are both good but the bar areas are lacking in atmosphere and evenings can get very repetitive if you don't get out and about. The humidity was extremely high during our two weeks and many people got colds, coughs and chest complaints. The large pool is a nightmare if you want to find a decent sunbed. People queue from 6.30 in the morning to get a decent spot although the pool doesn't open until 8.00. However, there is an adults only pool in the annex which is much quieter and you can always get a sunbed. Some mornings there were only 5 or 6 people there. We were disappointed overall as it wasn't the quality we expected and we will not be going back to this particular hotel. The main problem is that it is far too big and impersonal.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms have a good sized outdoor sitting area

I want to start by saying we had a really nice holiday, but unfortunately we were left disappointed by the hotel in some aspects. The grounds and hotel itself do not look anywhere near a 5* hotel or Thompson 4* platinum. It looks and feels dated and the rooms were very small, especially with a cot in the room. Yes, the location is good as it's on the beach but if like us you have young children then you wont be spending too much time on the beach as it's too dangerous - your be by the pool or at the lagoon, therefore you could stay at any other hotel in the resort. The food is nice, not spectacular but seeing all the lovely restaurants by the sea front and being tempted to go to a few we wish we had stayed b&b or self catering (something this hotel doesn't offer). Ive stayed in many Caribbean AI hotels and all tended to offer 1 night a week where you could use the al la carte restaurant free of charge - not here I'm afraid, you can upgrade to a set menu (which didn't interest us) or you had to pay full price if you wanted to choose what you wanted, a bit of a rip off if you ask me, which is why we chose to eat out of the hotel when we wanted to spoil ourselves. The drinks on the all inclusive option are very limited indeed, beers, house wines, and some local spirits, but no cocktails and if you wanted one it was 15lira (about £6) which was alot more expensive than outside of the hotel - ok, I was aware cocktails were not included but I would of expected them to be alot cheaper.

Now the positives, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful (especially mehmet and fatih) and the hotel was very clean. Like I said at the start we had a very nice holiday but when you pay for a 5* star/Thompson 4* platinum experience that's what you expect and I'm afraid I was left disappointed, the hotel is very much a 3* plus. It's not enough to ruin someone's holiday but I expected more. The problem is that most People are rating this hotel very highly on the back of location, friendly staff and cleanliness but a 5* should be alot more than this and as a result you don't get value for money. If this was a 3* hotel and the price of the holiday represented that then I would have no negative comments about this hotel and I would give it top scores in all areas. I will definitely be coming back to this resort but not this hotel.
